Easy to Use Electric Smoker
I have used this smoker a few times and it has worked great!

Good Outdoor Oven
Living where it is really hot, the last thing you want to do is to use the oven to bake inside. I used it as an outdoor oven and that worked out really well. It does a good job as a smoker, too. Although, I do miss the charcoal aroma of my old grill when I smoked, this electric smoker did a good job when I did smoke some ribs.Assembly was pretty easy once everything was removed from the packaging. And the packaging... that had to be the work of several people, lovingly wrapping each and every part then tucking them neatly into their assigned spaces. I'm fairly certain the same people who design payloads for space had a hand in this things packaging!

Good Starter
While this unit is a good place to begin, it definitely is not in the high end category. Temperature delta is 20 degrees so there is a good deal of float. Wood chips need to be started before placing in smoker as they won't ignite at 225-250, just dry out and turn black after an hour. Preheat at a higher temp and the chips will ignite with the cover off. Chips need to be replaced at least every hour and that is when you need to start with a lighter or on a grill. Needs more air flow but a drill takes care of that. Shelves comfortably hold 1 rib rack if trimmed. Does a decent job just not a $500 pellet smokerAs an added note after several uses, this needs a smaller water tray that doesn't cover the chip box. The OEM supplied tray cuts off the air and makes it difficult to keep the chips live. I wound up taking the water tray out to keep the smoke cloud up but will use something smaller to help stabilize the temp. I keep the lid off the chip box but that's a personal preference.

Great for alot of recipes
Works great, easy to use and we'll worth the money. Smoked wings and hamburgers turn out very delicious.

Smokes well and easy to use. Just needs a smaller water/fluid pan because it blocks the heat a bit.
Easy to use, moves easily and works great for small jobs. Water pan is a little to large, blocking heat circulation a little more than it should, but I just remove the fluid at the end and the heat shoots up quickly after that.

Awesome!
This is my first smoker so I don’t really have anything to compare it to, but I’m very pleased. I’ve smoked ribs, which turned out amazing and I’ve made smoked paprika. I have a family of six and I was able to fit a whole meal in there.

Missing Parts
I ordered this smoker because of the price and because it had wheels, making it easy to move around. It arrived with no thermometer gauge, and one disposable foil grease drip pan. I contacted the seller who said I would have to buy more from them. Since my previous smoker of another brand lasted 8 years before it rusted out, I was appalled that Royal Gourmet was only including one drip pan. I looked on Amazon, Ebay and all the big box stores but no one had the size that would fit the grease pan holder on this grill. Then the company called to tell me they were out of stock of the foil grease drip pan. The smoker is being returned.
