Aja HELO H.264 Streamer and Recorder

Amazing device! I would highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for great quality up to 1080p 60 FPS streaming to YouTube or other CDNs. The Web UI is easy to configure for a moderate to advanced user. Great feature set. It is very easy for the end users to start/stop stream without needing a ton of knowledge into the details of streaming, codecs, etc. Simply press the stream button when it turns green and you are online (starts flashing while streaming)!I was using OBS to stream video for our events before on a high end i7 desktop (lots of experience in this area). The quality difference this this AJA HELO is off the charts in comparison. Smooth video, great color quality, crisp, great lip sync, reliable, and versatile. Also, it is great that the AJA HELO boots up so quickly and you don't have to fuss with the grumpy software/hardware issues that seem to plague!I was very impressed with the customer support when I called to ask a question. They were very helpful. One thing to note, especially if you are streaming at 1080p 60FPS: the device can effectively calculate 60 FPS at 1080p total including recording and streaming, so if you are recording/streaming at that frame size/rate, make sure you tell it to record using the same codec as what you are streaming.Another note: SDI output on the device is loop through, meaning that there is no quality loss. HDMI output is a processed signal, meaning the quality is not as good as what went in. The HDMI out also seems to be a secondary process for the device (jumps occasionally). I have a HDMI monitor attached to check signal, but the quality that goes through to YouTube is better. It looks like HDMI out is simply there to make sure that the device is getting signal. I wouldn't use it for anything the public would see during the production.

I love this product. The web interface is easy to use and the built in scheduler works flawlessly.
