Works great. See no difference between these and name brand.

I purchased this as a backup to use for my HPMFP283. The original cartridge has a chip. These aftermarket cartridges are not compatible. Do not waste your money like I wasted mine. Just purchase the HP original and save yourself the headache.

This is FAR cheaper than HP, but it took more work than expected. When the new cartridges did not work, with multiple error messages, their instructions were to download and install new drivers. After doing that and failing, and fooling around some more I contacted them again and they said they would send a new set of cartridges for free. Although I was not hopeful, that did solve the problem. So for personal use it was worth the trouble to have the printer down for a few more days and the time wasted, because they are soooo much cheaper. But for business use you may well want to stick to a more trouble-free HP replacement.

I purchased this product and would highly recommend it. Better written instructions would help (the written instructions were for another cartridge). Still, the ease of swapping two of the colors (blue and red) product out with real HP products already installed (black and yellow) was effortless. No streaks, color is accurate as original. No negative issues.

3 of 4 of the cartridges that I received worked. Sadly, it was the black cartridge that did not. Inconvenient, but I guess it still saved me from the insane prices of the OEM HP cartridges. I ran the head cleaning modes and maintenance functions with no avail. Partially used cartridge temporarily borrowed from an identical printer in the shop works well so I ruled out the printer itself. I guess like they say, 3rd party cartridges will always be a gamble. You win some, you lose some.

*****UPDATE: After a few weeks of use, these do not work at all. The ink smears, smudges, and streaks where I cannot have one piece of acceptable printer paper. I have cleaned the printer multiple times but it just streaks and is so unprofessional. Will never buy again, trash.Not worth it,
