Though more traditionally used for beards and for shaping waves, this boar bristle brush had all of the features I was looking for.• NATURAL MATERIALS: only wood and boar hair (lighter color = more flexible bristles)• NO HANDLE: smaller for travel, and I prefer the control this way• ELEGANT: very simple and aesthetic look• CLEAN: it's not difficult to wash it up with a drop of shampoo in warm water. I try to get only the bristles wet, and it doesn't need this often to stay fresh and doing what I expect.It works very well to gently but quickly disperse my natural hair oils down my long, fine (and sadly brittle) hair.I lost a handful of bristles the first few uses, but it hasn't "shed" any in months. I've been using it for over a year and I have no complaints.

Beautiful wood handle, soft comfortable bristles, and bristles never get loose or fall out. I have thinning hair and this brush is helping to stimulate my scalp and it’s improving my hair growth. Amazing well made and durable brush!!

The brush was a gift for my husband. He wears his hair short and his hair is thinning a bit. As such, he was looking for a softer brush that was not so hard on his scalp. He loves the new Olivewood Military Hairbrush because it is easy on the scalp and easy to use as the brush fits neatly in the palm of his hand. Is is also well made, all natural without the use of plastics and materials that may cause allergies. He is very happy with the brush!

I can't understand why some people gave negative reviews. Thus brush is the real deal, not a "knock-off" product. It has quality bristles with the proper amount of elasticity or flexibility. It grabs your hair well and trains it in the direction of brushing...perfect for shorter hair (Men's). Nice lacquered handle and easy to hold. Look no further...This is the one you want to buy.

The bristles are not baby brush soft but only slightly stiffer. I use it to tame my post-chemo peach fuz and to stimulate the scalp. It's gentle enough for that and doesn't scratch my skin like other boar hair brushes. I doubt this brush would be useful for anything beyond fine or buzzed hair. Definitely not stiff enough for waves. Wood handle is beautifully finished and has small grooves on the sides to make it easier to hold while brushing.My biggest issue is the quality for the price. There are a lot of untrimmed bristles and the shed a lot. Plus there is a dust or something that is taking out of the brush. I tried washing the bristles but it didn't help much. It may just be the quality of the hair used. At best, this brush should be sold for $10.
