Jessicurl products always amaze me. This is the first product I bought from them, and since then I fell in love with the brand. This gel is perfect and works really well for my hair. It has a medium-strong hold, its not drying and makes hair feel smooth and moisturized even after dry. It is really fragrance, SMELLS LIKE NOTHING, and that's AMAZING!Also, the small bottle is a perfect trial size before you buy the big bottle. I love when companies allow you to buy trial sizes.

This stuff stinks!!! Seriously I have heard so much about this curly hair product that I almost had a fit when it took longer than originally stated to get to me. I actually pushed washing my hair for several days back. Just so I could use this product when it arrived. This is just how excited i was to use this product. I ordered ringlets & the gel. I think I am saying that correctly. However If I am not please forgive me. One is to help with the curl definition the other is the gel without glycerin. So yes I was super excited because I am from Florida born & raised. I just now at 47 years young found out about what different ingredients in hair care products could do to affect the outcome of final styled look. So of course I thought heck yeah let's try some glycerin free hair care products!! Let me start by saying my hair seems to not mind the glycerin in the hair products. I wouldn't have known this had I not at least tried to go without them. A matter of fact I personally feel like my hair looks better with products with glycerin in them. So ladies & gents just because you read something that states differently, it isnt hands down a fact for all hair types. Just remember that. I have always loved hair care products you could actually point me out as having a bit of a problem when it comes to having a bit to many products. Going a little bit overboard purchasing more than one person would ever need in a lifetime. What can I say its fun to try them all out. I am in love with the Jessie curl products but the scent disgust me to the point that I just might have to throw it away. I really love the results of the one that helps my curl definition. The gel without the glycerin in it is just okay. I am very happy for the people that it does work for!!! I praise the company for putting out a product that does work so well for so many people. I just say the scent is so bad for me personally that I cant get past that. I was thinking about tryint thr other scent. I do like scents in my hair care so going with the unscented isnt my cup of tea either. Jessie curl I thank you for making an outstanding product that does exactly what you have on the bottle. This gel is great! I normally prefer fragrance free products but for some reason never thought to give this gel a try. I haven’t even done a full curl routine with this yet or paired it with a curl cream (because I’m lazy) and my curls still look so much more defined and last so much LONGER than any other gel OR mousse I’ve tried—fragrance free or not! It gives a GREAT strong hold with almost no cast that lasts for days. I’m 2C/3A and have high porosity hair and it really works amazingly for my hair type/porosity. It doesn’t weigh my hair down at all, but definitely leaves build up so wash days are as always important!

Creates a hard cast that you should scrunch out when dry. I really liked the way my hair looked when I first styled it, but my curls did fall a bit throughout the day. I ordered the Jessicurl hair spray, and that kept the curls longer. My second day curls were still defined well and just needed some rewetting/restyling. The only thing I didn’t like was the smell. I hated the smell of the gel, so I ordered the unscented hair spray, but that smelled even worse.

My new go-to gel for wash days! I almost returned this product at first, but my issue with it was completely user error on my end. They’re not kidding when they say your hair needs to be dripping wet. It’s runnier than most gels, so the water helps it apply evenly. The wetter your hair is, the more frizz free and solid the cast is. If you put it in hair that’s just damp, it’ll be frizzy and crunchy looking. When used correctly, it provides nice definition with a cast that can easily be scrunched out after it dries. Great frizz control and the smell is amazing.

I really really wanted to love this product. It gives me great curl definition and very little frizz, and distributes so perfectly through my hair. Unfortunately it also causes me to break out along the hairline at the back of my head. I got big painful cysts a day after using this for the first time. I hoped it was something else giving them to me so next time I washed my hair I switched back all my products to ones that I’ve used safely before, except for this one, and I got even more bumps. I’m so disappointed. I loved that it was unscented and I hoped that would mean it would be good on my sensitive skin.

I love this product. I find that I need less than with other gels - a lot less. It smells like fruity pebbles at first then has a lingering lavender scent. I recently did a little experiment on myself where I used this on one side and another great product on the other - I’ll be buying this one every time. Never Wright’s my hair down but does a great job of keeping my thin curls together.

I've used the deep conditioner and tried the gel. Its high quality and gave me gotgeous curls and waves with very minimal frizz. I paired it with a curl cream and brushed the product through with my Bounce Curl brush. Love the results, will be buying again.
