Starting in 2018 Eaglemoss will be producing a new series of die-cast models featuring ships from STAR TREK: DISCOVERY. Each model will be between 8 and 10 inches long, and will be based directly on the original VFX models created for the show, ensuring an extraordinary level of detail and accuracy. The series will be available from January of 2018 with a new ship released every month. As always the models will be accompanied by a magazine that profiles the ship and explores the inside story of how it was made. The first ship will be the U.S.S. Shenzhou, which will be followed by the U.S.S. Discovery itself.

This was the start of a whole new chapter in my collecting.
EAGLEMOSS STRIKES AGAIN!! I'm catching up on my reviews & this is an older one. Discovery & the ill-fated Glenn are easily two of the most gracefull ships out of the Federation's shipyards. The Discovery was the very first Eaglemoss ship I bought & I was hooked because of the weight, materials used &, most importantly, the stunning attention to detail that only got better when I bought the XL. With my long search & subsequent purchase of the USS Glenn, I now have all of, to date, the Crossfield class ship variations in a collection of over 50 ships & space stations, all because of this purchase. Buy it, you won't regret it. Amazon's prices do fluctuate some if they are out of stock,, but it mostly stays reasonably priced,, unless you run into scalpers looking for fools.. Amazon's shipping can't be beat compared to Eaglemoss's 3-5 week turn around ( only ship on Tuesday and Friday). Not meaning to blast one of the best model makers out there, just their shipping warehouse.

Eaglemoss Rules!
I am the proud owner of close to 100 Eaglemoss replicas, crossing numerous canon storylines. From Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica and Dr. Who, they are all superior. As new items are released, I will be delighted to add to my collection. Unfortunately, I am moving, so everything is packed in totes ready to go. I will include photos of my expansive array when I get settled in.

Worth the money
Too expensive, but worth the money as the model was made with fine detail, paint strongly bonded, and was made of both plastic and metal to make the model perfect. And the saucer of this model is not spinnable like in the show.

It's bigger than expected.
There's nothing to dislike, it's accurate, solid, and true to the show before the ships refit in the show.

Gift for someone, big,big
He liked it so well he has displayed with his fav Star Trek model. Said it was worthy and bigger. He also said he only displays the best.... he loved it. He said "best gift he has received in years". I'm happy that he is happy with it.
