Not your everyday hard hat , for every day.
Not only is this a great safety helmet, the comfort is 1st class with easy adjustment to fit most people’s head. The chin strap adds an extra dimension to working at highs , when you need to rely on it not slipping off and keeping you safe.

Hardhat
Helmet is well made and light weight without obscuring view when looking up due to no peak. Good all round item.

A little pricey but good
Although this is a little on the pricey side compared to a lot of safety helmets, it is probably the most comfortable safety helmet I’ve owned which is what I wanted, that and no peak as I think peaked helmets limit your field of vision.

Fantastic fit very comfy
Great helmet for working up in the air. Very secure. Comfy and not bulky on the head

Fragile
Barely had it a month and the headlamp strap holder has snapped when trying to take the strap out. Wouldn’t exactly say that’s durable.

JSP - EVO ALTA Skyworker Safety Helmet
I’ve had a climbing helmet made by Petzl for quite a few years, which has seen a lot of use and really needs replacing, so i picked up this one from JSP to try.The Evo Alta Skyworker is primarily intended for work use, due to having attachment points for visors and ear defenders which simply require you to push out the clip in black plastic covers, but it conforms to EN 12492, which is the standard used for mountaineering helmets and provides some all-round impact protection. The outer shell has a regular mountaineering shape to it, with a slightly extended nape to offer a little more protection to the neck area. The shell is made from ABS plastic and inside you also have an EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) liner which is light weight, ventilated and adds extra impact protection. There is a large ventilation slot on either side of the shell and a further 2 to the rear. The sides also have plastic clips to allow the straps of a head torch to neatly slide underneath and prevent it from moving around.Next up you have the Revolution Flex, 4-point harness which is extremely adjustable, using the various sliders. The cradle part at the back has 3 settings to raise or lower the rear of the helmet slightly and the chin strap fastens securely using a plastic buckle (according to EN 12492, this shouldn’t stretch or come undone should a force of up to 500N be applied). The front of the harness has a nice soft Chamlon cotton sweatband which can be replaced. The whole cradle that the head sits inside is adjusted to size easily by turning the ratcheting wheel on the back and can fit head sizes between 53 and 64cm.***** In The Box *****1 x Evo Alto Skyworker1 x User Manual***** Conclusion *****I’ve seen various safety products from JSP, but this is my first actual experience of the brand and i have to say i’ve been really impressed. The helmet itself is great quality, light weight, fully adjustable and is definitely the most comfortable helmet i’ve worn – it’s definitely more comfortable than my old Petzl. For just £58, i think you are getting great value for money and i hadn’t realised, but JSP is actually a UK company and the product is even made in the UK, which makes a nice change and is always great to be able to support a British brand.Definitely a product worth considering.

Very good…
We only buy JSP hard hats for our company issue hard hats. They are a bit more expensive than generic ones but the quality is top of the line, and i love that they are British made. This version is the ‘working at height’ version, and i would have assumed was suitable for use as a ‘normal’ hard hat also, but the graphic on the box, as pictured, makes me think that isn’t the case, so make sure you buy the right one, or the ‘does both’ Dualswitch.Really very nicely made and comfortable. The single tightness dial on the back is so quick and easy. I like the mesh air vents to help keep your head cool. The little carbon effect trim details are also a nice extra touch and a nod to the quality on show here.Takes a range of accessories too, like a clear face visor and ear defenders, for an all round head safety solution. Worth the extra as your head is fairly priceless. Recommended.
