Soil Heating Cable, 49 ft Electric Warming Cable for Garden, Cold Frame, Keep Soil Warm

The item is home made, not of great quality and extremely inconvenient to install.It is a cable loop, which you cannot open. Hence installing it around trees or bushes is either impossible or very cumbersome. Because of the loop nature the information of length is misleading and in practice you only cover half the distance. The fact that you are supposed to cover the cable with 3 inch of soil with no crossing of the cable or contact points makes the item even more inconvenient to install.Paying such a premium price is not justified. I decided to buy some cheap Christmas lights for 3 USD each and throw them on the ground with some blankets on top. Way cheaper and way easier to install.

this cable is just as bad as the reviews say, The cable barley warms the soil 2 centimatersnext to it, just a very defective product that shouldnt be listed on amazon at all

This heated wire is really cool but heads-up, before you use this to its true potential you'll have a project to get together. You'll need to create a planter box for this wire to be effective. Once you have the box, you will want to lay an inch and a half of sand over chicken wire that is the same size as the bottom of the box. Now lay the wire no more than 3" between the wire and as you lay the wire out take care not to cross over the wire with itself. It should lay flat and attach it to the chicken wire to keep it all even and in place. Now lay down about 2" of soil on the sand and wire. Once you've done that, you can use your "hot box" to germinate the next set of seeds . You can feel the warmth of the soil and it should be around 80 degrees which is perfect for seedlings to germinate with whatever process you may follow. This is what I did and I now have a great germination space that I have been using to start my plants in their quest of growing into very bountiful ladies. One other use of this box is to use it as a warm spot for your smaller plants in the event of a cold front. I recommend this product to all my gardener friends out there who need to up their game.

This cabel has great functionality and can be moved to different areas. It is easy to use and has a compact size that helps with storage the cord material seems to be a durable material that I would recommend anyone to get it is a great durable cord which heats well. This is a great value for the money two thumbs up!

It doesn't work as advertised. There are better brands (all of them) out there.
