They allow you to confidently benchpress alone and they can be moved to the backside where you can do squat lifts safely*It has features that you don't usually find all together on other benches- you can do "chest flys"/butterflies, preacher curls, leg lifts, bench press, squat lift and more- all with the one machine*The barbell rack is also adjustable*This is great for my light workouts & durable enough to withstand his heavy workoutsOverall this has been a great purchase, there isn't any complaints. Very easy to put together and not to heavy to move around, I had to do this because my first space choice didn't have good air flow for workout comfort. I haven't been able to use it as much as I would like but so far it seems sturdy, especially for the price. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and the size works well. I can quickly adjust for squats or benching. It folds up easily as well. One thing I wish it had more degrees for incline.

This bench is perfect for what I need, and the lifts I was wanting to do. It's easy to aseemble and pretty sturdy. It works well with my olympic weights and bar. And it folds up nicely.

The bench worked fantastic, I was concerned for a bigger sized guy as myself but I fit perfectly, the bench is perfectly adjustable in height to fit myself perfectly under the bar. I have been doing workouts on this for the last couple months and it has held sturdy and consistent! No safety concerns bench pressing 200 pounds and carrying my body thats another 200 pounds! Very easy to build, took me an hour to assemble the parts by myself and I enjoyed it!
