Days Adjustable Height Comfort Commode with Padded Toilet Seat

This chair is sturdy and comfy. Easy to adjust and comes ready assembled. Just need to put the pot in place also easy to move around. Not heavy.

The first commode arrived damaged - the plastic was split at the seam. 2nd one is fine but the tacky metal handle for the bucket falls off everytime it is moved and is thin and uncomfortable for arthritic hands. A plastic handle with a wider diameter would be better. After a week the handle got thrown away as it was more bother than it was worth and likely to contribute to spills. Commode looks good in bedroom and doubles up as a chair.

This ought to have the full number of stars. What does let it down is the seam between the two vinyl coverings on the seat. Rather than these overlapping with one going underneath the other - which would give a flat surface - they both bend outwards and are joined bottom-to-bottom, producing a lip of around 1cm. And this protrusion around the hole for the pot can be a bit of a trap for what ought to end up in the pot. It just makes it a bit more fiddly when cleaning the thing - especially as the lip on ours curves slightly upwards. More of an irritation than a disaster, though.Some commodes are camoflaged and look more like other items of household furniture. But what those generally do not have which this does is the ability to adjust the height, and this is essential both to comfort and ease of use. Ours has been in use for a few months now, and although it has been a success, the height has recently been increased by a notch and this has made a big difference to the ease with which the user is now able to get up and off the thing, but without compromising the overall ease or comfort of using it. And even though I am the Cleaner rather than the User, this is by far the more important aspect.

It is a commode and does the job very well. Height adjustable was a good feature as my mother is very short. Sturdy which makes it very safe. Has a comfortable padded seat The lid covers up the commode when not in use giving the appearance of a bathroom chair. I felt the price was excellent for a well made, sturdy piece of equipment.

This product is too flimsy for long term use. The seat cracked after just a few months and was nipping my leg making it bleed -I'm a small woman so I don't weigh much. When I tried to buy a replacement seat, I was told that Patterson Medical does not sell spare parts for its products, .Probably ok if you just want a throwaway item, but I recommend you find a different manufacturer.
