Easy to essemble. Great value for the money.
I was hesitant getting this product because of all of the terrible reviews. I read from multiple buyers that there were no instructions, so I was expecting no instructions and to have to figure it out. But when it came in, it had the instructions! And they were easy to follow with a diagram and letters for each part. So, I don't know why I had one and other didn't.Another thing, I'm a vendor for famers markets and events and I am using this stand to display my jewelry on a heavy antique window with chicken wire nailed to it. I haven't had any problems. It holds it fine. It's never fallen over. One piece of wood arrived bowed but still gets the job done.

Inexpensive painting easle
I bought a metal easle first, but it was not up to the job for many reasons. This wooden easle is a huge improvement for a tiny price increase. Just take the bottom extension off the legs to make it a table top easle. Works great and is adjustable to suit my needs. The assembly is really not as hard as some customers made it out to be, just use your spacial skills and it is easy to put together.

Tough but Easy to Assemble Easel
The instructions were lacking, but detailed enough to put together. Not many parts and is of sturdy construction. My 3' x 2' canvas fit right on. Great price. No frills. Great buy.

Not Super Impressed
I ordered two of these to hold signs at my wedding. Neither arrived quite right: one didn't have any instructions and was missing some key hardware, while the other had instructions, the hardware, but a crack in one of the legs (which I was able to fix).I will say that the finish was decent. But, overall, it just didn't feel all that sturdy. I ended up going to Hobby Lobby and picking up an easy that - while unfinished - was a lot more "hefty".

Buy a metal easel instead or sturdy wood easels.
I received the easel with parts and the pieces that holds it together, but no instructions. The seller had to email me at a later time about how to put them together, but I didn't understand why they didn't just type up the instructions and put it in with the box (so that I"m not checking my computer, reading the instructions as I'm building it). No matter, it was actually very easy to build, until I came to the front horizontal piece that holds the board. There was no indication on the legs themselves where it would sit so I had to eyeball where I would like it to sit. There were no nails and/or glue so first, I used gorilla glue. That didn't work. I tried nails and it was fragile and very flimsy but it stood okay when I put my big wood signage on it. The transportation of the easel was not easy. The front horizontal piece came off and it wouldn't stay on anymore. At this point, it was just too much work for this crappy easel that I never end up using it for my wedding. Please get something else. This isn't even worth its price.

Good Casual Easel
My friends and I have a drink paint night once a month. It didn't start out as a tradition but, now that we're doing it more frequently, I wanted an easel. I was looking for something inexpensive that still looked relatively sturdy. This seemed like it would fit the bill based on its A-frame design and the chain piece. I thought this was going to be alright but nothing special. It's actually surprisingly nice. The wood is smooth and stained a pretty cherry color. It was pretty easy to follow the instructions to assemble it. The part of the instructions that wasn't very clear was about attaching the chain. My husband was able to use his building commonsense (he works in construction) to figure it out quickly. The end with the little screw has to be forced into the back leg. My husband was able to to do this with his drill by taking out the drill bit and wedging the round part into the grooves where the drill bit usually goes. You might be able to use a thumbtack to make the hole then push in the little screw. 🤷♀️ The other end of the chain clips onto the circle at the front of the easel. I placed a couple of our (very mediocre) paintings on the ledge to show what it looks like with paintings resting on the ledge. Essentially, if you are looking for a top of the line easel, this might not be the product for you. If you are looking for something inexpensive that is really great for casual painting, this is perfect.

Great purchase!
I used this for my baby shower and loved it! Defiantly recommend if it's for decor or a party to hold a cute poster board. This is not strong enough to hold larger picture frames or heavy objects though. It is meant for very light items.
