Yes, These are frequently used successfully by 3 car haulers. There are a variety of other tiedowns offered that may work as well or better, check them out on AMAZON to see if you find another tie down that you feel meets your needs better.

Q: Will these. Fit over a 44 inch tire that is 21 inches wide?

How far from the wheels to the anchor spot for each one. Your wheel measure of 44” diameter and 22” width would need 44” behind the tire and 44” in front of the tire for a combined 88”. Then include the width of the tire twice for another 42” for a 130” total plus the distance to the Tie down point. So take a string 96” long wrap it around your tire in a lasso and see if you have enough left to reach a tie down spot with the end of the string. I don’t think it will be enough. Do you?
