Great RTR unit
Out of the box runs well. The details are amazing and the 2spd option is a plus. Truck runs well on off-road terrain. For rugged rocky terrain sticky wider tires help with traction and stability. Tires wheels were the only mods made.

Absolute beauty
I've been in the rc game for about 15 years and love my traxxas, arrma, losi cars. This last year I started buying what I thought was lower grade cheapys off Amazon for my 5 & 6 yo kids. I first bought a few hiaboxing cars thinking ahh they have fun for a week and then if they break no biggy. To my surprise they were some of them most fun cars for under $200. Now on to the FCX18 LC80 I've got 3 trx4m vehicles and a couple redcats just for perspective. THIS IS MY FAVORITE CRAWLER out of the box RTR. What an amazing litter unit they have. I'm ordering 2 more because this one's mine and I don't want my kids touching it. Lol I absolutely love the 2 speed transmission, the suspension is way better than my trx4m defender was out of the box. The remote feels better than the traxxas remote that came with my $1000 XRT. The realistic land cruiser body is perfect and scale. I cannot say enough about this litte wheeler. I approve this message.

So much fun and amazing performance
Upgraded with steel drive shafts, overdrive 20/24 gears, heavy tires and grippy wheels. It is an amazing pillow crawler and lots of fun. Very good value for the money out of the box and gets so much better with upgrades.

Had high hopes..
Looked good. Was excited. Even got some new wheels and brass rings and tires so my first time driving it would be even more exciting.. I have some 10th scales,18ths and 24 scales.(I'm not a noob) I have a little course in my back yard that I take each truck threw. We'll upon putting this truck down and applying the first amount of pressure on the truck it made a loud pop. Sounded like plastic snapping. Then it drove. Well after about 5 minutes I put it in the high gear. Fast gear. It did it again! This time I was slightly crooked on a hill and when it popped it spun tires and rolled down the hill resulting in a tumble.. so now the truck has scratches on it.. Definitely not the tires cause they were tightened up to a snug. No pressure when tightning the injora wheels down. Iv noticed after the loud pop in both gears there was alot of play when sitting still. It would roll forward and backward without stopping and sounded like the transmission was overworking when accelerating.. and yes i had the overdrive set to 100 and 0 it seemed there was no difference.. very very displeased..

great build quality, great detailed LC80 hardbody
I’m really impressed by the 1/18 FMS FCX18 LC80 crawler’s build quality and attention to detail. The hardbody on this little LC80 looks fantastic and really captures the classic Toyota Land Cruiser style. The crawler feels solid and performs well on various terrains, and the runtime is notably long, letting me enjoy extended sessions without frequent recharges. However, I did run into an issue with the transmission—specifically, the low gear stripped during normal crawling use. This required me to replace the gear much sooner than I expected, which was a bit disappointing given the otherwise excellent build quality. If you’re willing to make small repairs, this is still an enjoyable and capable mini crawler, especially for scale enthusiasts. Hopefully, FMS will address this gear durability in future versions.Pros:Excellent build qualityRealistic, detailed hardbodyGood runtime for extended playCons:Low gear in transmission stripped and required replacement

Great car but Differential gears broke in 5 minutes
Within the first five minutes of driving the gears inside the front differential stripped out because they are plastic plan on purchasing metal. Differential gears at the same time. Also, the car is quite top-heavy plan on buying some brass either for the axles or wheels.
