Does what it is suppose to
Easy to install and is doing exactly what I wanted it to do. We have a seasonal campsite with well water. My hair would always feel stiff and would be flat after washing at camp. Not anymore. Plus no water spots and I don’t have to clean the shower head every weekend due to clogs.

Good things come in small packages
This has been a game changer. I have an RV and use well-water which left my hair and skin feeling dry and scratchy, and the hard water build up was an issue. I was doubtful that thing small water softener would do much to help, but I am so glad I took a chance. I noticed the difference in the water right away. Soap actually lathers up now, and I'm not cleaning the shower doors as often. It was very easy to install. Not sure how long it will last but so far, I'm a fan.

Great water softener choice for RV
Was visiting a friend at an RV site and they had this brand, never even thought about having a water softener. Ordered the same one, this brand, Have used it twice and just love it. Definitely feel a difference in our RV when we're traveling to different RV campsites. We did have one little mishap, make sure that the top is screwed on tightly. Tiny leak with a little water coming out. Lol. We did put it inside the garage and have it in a bucket, which after that little leak we were happy we did. That was definitely user error. But highly recommend this.

lowest cost option so far, so good... we'll see how long it lasts.
seems well made - I'm not sure on the quality of the resin - time will tell if it holds up as well as a mainstream/name brand resin bed. The tank is typical fiberglass like all of the others... the cap seems like it might not last if dropped etc... so be careful and be careful tightening attachments to it, but that's obvious. The rest of the parts are kinda cheap feeling... you might need to upgrade them a bit. took one star away for that.

Works Great!
I was skeptical about the need for a water softener but this unit has changed my mind. It absolutely works great. Water hardness has been reduced to 0 ppm from 120 ppm. I have been using it for 4 weeks now and wow, I love it.Also, fittings were a worry according to reviews here, but no leaks for me using all the supplied fittings and valves that came with the unit.Wife also loves how little soap is needed now. I know my plumbing in the rv is not building up with scale now and spots when washing my truck and camper are greatly reduced. For the price one cannot go wrong with this unit.

My Cars Even FEEL Different
I have had this filter for several months, and have washed two fairly late model cars with it numerous times. I let it filter the water just before it reaches my pressure washer. When you run a sponge over the surface, you can FEEL the difference in slickness. And when you dry the car (I use some fancy, high-absorbency towels) the towel just glides over the surface. It’s just totally different in feel, but of course, the important thing is the result. The cars reach a new level of shine, and they have the slippery feel that I used to associate with after waxing. It just makes the whole process nicer, and actually faster, too.

Does not last
I bought this for a cargo trailer conversion that I have built. I plumbed it in to the water system so that I wouldn’t ruin my high end fixtures with our hard water here in SE New Mexico. It was easy to install but took a lot of patience and massive amount of over tightening to stop all leaks. I thought I was done after fighting for nearly 3 hours to get it in. I used it the water and could tell by feeling the water on my bare hands that it was very much softened water and the water hardness test strips verified that the water cowling in to the unit was very hard (425 ppm) and the water coming out of the unit was soft (0 ppm.) after 2 showers, 5 or 6 toilet flushes and washing a plate and a fork, the water was starting to spot up my new fixtures in the shower and the sink. I tested the water and it was 250 ppm coming out of the unit. It only softened the water for 3 days and really not even that long. I followed the directions to regenerate the unit with 2 and half boxes of salt. Again, the water tested at 0 ppm and I tested it morning and night for the next 2 days. After my shower that night, it tested at 25 ppm. After washing my plate, bowl, a pan and fork the next day and it was reading 50 ppm. After that my shower that night (24 hours after regeneration) it tested at 120 ppm. The next day at 36 hours and only 2 or 3 toilet flushes, it read at very hard (250 ppm) after my shower that night, 48 hours after regeneration, it was right back up to 425 ppm. I’ve verified that I have no leaks, my showers are average 7 to 10 minute showers and there’s no excuse for such poor operation. And having it plumbed in as I do, it’s not like I can just screw the top off and easily regenerate. I am very disappointed. I will be removing it this weekend and since I wasn’t ready to Instal it right when I got it, I am past the return limits so I guess I’ll be donating it to the garbage can. I’m sure it might be a great product for areas where the water is already soft but it is not even close to being a good product for here where I live.
