Very good reminder of root beer flavor
Don’t let anyone tell that this is not real sarsaparilla. It is. There are two different kinds. The one I bought from Jamaica tastes nothing like this one and both have different medicinal properties. If I wanted to make root beer this is the one I would choose not the Jamaican one. Look them up for yourself. But trust me if you’re looking for the one that reminds you of root beer this is it.

Sarsaparilla Root from Herbs Botanica
sorry to say—the product has little, if any, flavor and does not taste like sarsaparilla. It is nearly impossible to grind in a coffee grinder so that is a problem too. But, I bought it for its flavor — which it lacks altogether. Maybe the product sat in storage a long time? or has poor flavor due to when it was harvested?… condition of the soil it was grown in? I do not know. I would not buy this again.
