Camera Half Frame Accessories Mount
A very alternative camera frame mount, which leaves the access to the camera SD card and battery compartment. Pretty solid mounting frame especially mounted to the flash hot shoe on the camera too. I’d say it’s spot-on design and you can mount any other accessories that you wish weather it’s for Video or Portrait photography. Hope this helps, God Bless.

Love it. It truly is universal.
So I've gone through a number of cages due to the number of cameras I have had over the years. And when you upgrade your system, you end up selling or giving away the old system. But you never really charge for the cage. It's something you sell with your camera to incentivize your sale. It can get pretty costly.I came across this cage after doing some extensive research. The shoe mount option on the top plate of this cage really stabilized the whole build. It offers many mounting options. Makes it very scalable with other brands. I have SmallRig, Tilta, Niceyrig, and other mounting gizmos. But out of all the mounting options, i.e., Arri pin, Arri rosette, Shoe mount, Rod mount, etc., I chose the NATO mounting system because it offered the most flexibility. This build has been fun. Utilizing many of the NATO rails from my previous builds, this CAMVATE rig is ready for anything.

Meets my expectations.
The CAMVATE camera cage performs as I need it to. Before I bought the cage, I was having to hold a flashlight and camera in one hand for my night videos I put in youtube. After seeing videography videos I discovered cages exist and affordable for even poor lil me, so I bought this and a light made for cameras that mounts on the cage. Now, I have one arm only capabilities with an entire system leaving my other arm free for whatever else is, or may be, needed, such as answer my phone.

Fits my Lumix Gx85 well but is very heavy
I bought this cage for my Lumix GX85 and with the short side pieces, it fits my camera almost perfectly! I can open the battery door and connect the cage to the hot shoe without problems. I got a top handle which I like but it adds a significant amount of weight to this already heavy cage. The one real drawback for me is that the camera sits back from the front edge of the cage more than I would like which means the lens support I have that connects to the front of the cage cannot be positioned under the lens correctly. I've had to come up with a DIY solution which is working out just fine. Lastly, the picture for this item shows this cage oriented right side and left side but this cage is designed to be left side only!

Just What I Needed
Couldn't find anything that would work with a Nikon P950 until I found this. Paired it with the 2756 Handle Grip and Smallrig top handle. Now I have plenty of options for mounting my mic and recorder for video.

Underwhelming for photography
Wish it came with a smaller shorter l.ower bracket so it didnt interfere with battery compartment. Purchased so i could mount a monitor without interfering with hotshoe that holds my flash remote. Not sure if this is the solution. If it had the ability to have top plate reveresed in atlernater direction from the top , would be better. I dont use top rail to fit my remote. So the vertical arm is extended left which is nice to hold but too cumbersome for storage on the go. If all the way right to be more compact i lose battery access and my top digital screen which i use most of the time. Dont super need it if running lv but would like to be able to switch without needing to adjust bracket hence why so far left. Would also like to have more realestate/texture for tripod plates and better grip for base plate but seems sturdy enough i guess but have yet to test. All in all a shorter base horizontal bar would fix half of my worries or smaller or caterleavered top plate. Shoot me a recommendation Camevate if you have any parts regarding. Thank you for extra screws to sturdier it up.

The best adaptable cage.
Easily the best cage. It can scale with a wide variety of DSLRs and Mirrorless Cameras bodies without having to disassemble. I have one of their other cages but this one is easily the best for the money and I'm very happy with it.
