100% pure Colombian coffee beans
These coffee beans came in a resealable bag with a one-way valve for the CO2 to escape. They were roasted on 5/17/2024. Pull a triple shot and made latte with it. It tasted very pure and a little chocolaty. I was afraid they might be stale since they were roasted more than 2 months ago, but with the sealed bag and one-way valve, the beans were not stale.

fresh and flavorful
I found this is be more acidic than my usual coffee brands. I added a little more milk than usual and that helped balance it out nicely. The flavor is good and there definitely is a rich, chocolatey/caramely taste. All-in-all, this makes a decent cup of coffee. The beans were easy to grind and tasted fresh. The bag is resealable and the bright blue color is fun sitting on my counter. I typically buy 1Lb bags for this price, so getting only 8.8oz with this bag does not feel like a great value.

For the light roast drinker
Light medium roast, it’s acidic with good floral flavors, balanced with slight bitterness.

A little bitter for me
I was interested to try this type of coffee as I don’t recall having it before. Sadly, not my favorite. Castillo coffee is supposed to have a fruity taste, but I didn’t taste any fruit that I could name at all, even citrus. It just tasted green to me. I’m not a coffee expert, so I don’t know the proper terminology, but the green taste translated as bitter to my taste buds. I drink coffee black, so if you put in milk and/or sugar it may taste fine to you.

Love the chocolate notes in this coffee
I’m no coffee connoisseur but when I drink coffee, I do know what I like. I do like this coffee especially with the subtle chocolate notes. I do add some sweetened non-dairy creamer so the flavor of the coffee doesn’t have any bitterness or acidic aftertaste. I do find this coffee a bit pricey so not being a coffee snob, I’m sure many of the more subtle nuances of this coffee escapes me.
