I wanted some boxes to pack-up ornaments, photos, crockey and so on from my Mother's house.I already have stronger and significantly more expensive boxes from Fellowes that i have used for books, but I wanted some boxes that I wouldd happily drop off and leave at a charity shop.I have some larger boxes laying around my house, but the problem with larger boxes is that, just as with a large suitcase, the more you can place inside, the box can become very heavy to lift and carry.I think that if I were looking for boxes to use for long-term storage where I would want to keep moving them around, then I might consider a box made from heavier gauge cardboard. But I have used these to move items between houses and address , crockery, glassware, ornaments, files, and I have found them to be excellent.If I load a box (any brand of bankers box) with books or generally feel that it is particularly heavy - then I do not rely upon the handles but carry with my hands below the box. (likewise in the days of free plastic carrier bags I would never relay upon the bag handles is carrying heavy items such as bottles.I have not experienced the handles breaking and I have been very happy with these Earth Series boxes.I think that they are good value for money.

Love the idea, but wish they were tougher and stronger. They really aren't. Still, they are still worth it. Great for documents and paperwork. Just get the removal guys to be gentle with 'em & you'll be fine.

Not moving, but reorganising my collection of various collectibles. Have used these storage boxes before and they are surprisingly strong, which is a great advantage when stacking. I should have ordered the larger size but that is my fault. I do have one tip and that concerns the slots where you pick the boxes up to carry. I have found that when you construct the box it is useful to use cellotape to connect the push through grips to the inside of the boxes. However if you leave the boxes for any length of time, you will need to cellotape again. This is only a tip and am happy to maintain the 5 star rating.

Poor quality and poor construction. Avoid. Having bought this product before - it was excellent - I re-ordered using the link of the product on my previous order. The page indicated it was the same product. However it is not. This product is so weak it can only be stacked two high and even that is pushing it. And unlike normal archive boxes, the base is made by folding the flaps and tucking the opposing flaps into a slot. The base therefore needs packing tape on the base to keep it from collapsing when lifted and the sides are consequently only one thin piece of cardboard thick hence why they collapse if too much weight is put on them. So almost completely useless for any reasonable storage of files. Avoid.

I bought the"10cm" box files first - and noted the width to be ~ 9.5cm. Therefore, had the impression that four would fit in the banker's box (dimension quoted 39.1cm). However, this must be external dimension - as there is no way that four will fit (see photo). Therefore, space wasted in each of the banker's boxes. The information provided is lacking.Boxes are not very sturdy - but for long-term storage - and as long as you don't stack them too high if you have heavy papers / books to store - the boxes should be adequate. Size is the annoying feature - noted above.

I purchased these to use for under-bed storage and they fit perfectly. Fairly sturdy, good enough for several books and such. They won't take a hell of a beating though from what I can see.

Adequate but on the flimsy side

Used these for moving house along with other boxes. I did find a fault with the folding flaps for the side handles not fitting. Other than that, you can still lift & carry no problems & continue to use the boxes in the long term. Overall a good buy.
