Fixed my problem quickly
I have an automatic gate operator similar to the COZ-E ones you may see here on Amazon. The 8 foot tall gate started leaning toward the the side that the motor/operator is on, causing several problems. One of the problems was that it was damaging the top support and rollers. The other one was that the limit sensors on the bottom started rubbing/scraping on the operator motor case. By the time I took the time to investigate what the screeching sound was every time I opened my gate, one of the sensors had cracked its plastic cover. The next day, the gate came off the rail on the back wheel. I had a gate company come out and fix the rollers and top gate supports..$800....not happy about it, but it needed to be fixed and required quite a bit of welding. The gate repairman told me that the limit switches were broken and I would have to manually stop the gate. He offered me a refurbished Lift-Gate operator motor for another $800....I hesitated, hoping I would find these limit switches somewhere on the internet. I was disappointed when they didn't work at first....so I called the gate installer back. This time the price was $975...labor and such. So I decided to see if it was my fault the limit switches didn't work. It was!! Apparently if you mix up what side of the gate they go one, they do not work properly. 10 minutes to test it out and my problem was fixed! Saved me from spending $975

Works Fine
Hold magnet with plastic housing broke. Used this as a replacement and works well. More compact so more room for error when setting it up.

Strong magnet but plastic threads break easily
Strong magnet but plastic threads can break easily, especially if you have an interference issue between your magnet mount and gate as I did (installation error on my part). On the other hand, the easily broken threads are kind of a mechanical fuse--they're probably the least damaging failure point when you have an interference issue.
