Perfect for both budget gaming & 4K HTPC
There are 2 groups of consumers for this product: casual gamers and 4K video enthusiasts. Both of them should be impressed by this card performance. When it comes to games, make sure you read the benchmarks first. This is a card which will allow you playing titles like Rocket League or DOTA 2 in 1080p with 60 fps or more. All that in absolute silence. For about £80 it's a must-have, unless you plan on playing fresh AAA titles. Those will require at least 1050 Ti for almost twice that price.Media is where this card fully shows its purpose: it handles 4K 60fps video files faster than any TV box out there. 90GB file with 10-bit color & HDR? Not even a challenge. More than that, the card won't even heat up when playing them for several hours straight (!) This makes it perfect for any noiseless & future-proof HTPC, even the slimmest of them (low profile bracket included).Installation takes just a moment and the drivers work perfectly, providing you the latest Nvidia software for both playing and recording the gameplay. The screen is recognized instantly and correctly, no matter if it's a 1080p monitor or 4K TV. The image is crisp and clear, colors vivid, there are no issues with image refreshing or scaling. So why this one from all silent GTs 1030 out there? At first you cut out the GDDR4 versions (almost 3 times lower memory bandwidth), then the MSI GDDR5 version (almost £20 more for HDMI + DisplayPort instead of HDMI + DVI is nonsense). You're left with Asus, Gigabyte or EVGA. Similar clockspeeds, same height heatsinks, not much to differ them. There are no bad choices from here, although the Gigabyte's heatsink looks like the biggest of them, reaching almost to the I/O bracket. That's why I finally picked this one and I highly recommend to do as well.Summary: decent card for less demanding games and an absolute beast in 4K media playback. Full performance and none of the noise. Great addition to any iGPU PC or HTPC!

Excellent good quality budget card for small form factors PCs
I wanted to replace my old underpowered GT710 and am glad I came upon this card. I use it mainly for photo and video editing, and unlike the GT710, it works with editors that will utilise a GPU, which is very useful. It's also pretty decent for playing older games, just don't expect to use it with the latest AAA titles. It installed easily into my old HP EliteDesk SFF using the low-profile bracket the card comes with. When buying a GT1030, be careful to make sure the Graphics RAM is of the GDDR5 type, as this card is. Some GT1030s are instead GDDR4, which is much slower. So don't get caught out. This model uses a fan, and the fan is very quiet, so you barely hear it. And importantly, it can use the latest nVidia driver, which many older GT models no longer can. All in all, a great value for money card for giving an old SFF PC new life.

Great for a HTPC
Bought one of these for my HTPC, for such use it gets four stars because:1) Silent, the card is fanless so no fan noise. The passive heat sink is well designed, it covers the whole card so even the voltage regulator modules get cooled. There are spaces between the fins both horizontally and vertically so this will help air flow whichever orientation it is in your PC case.2) The card comes with both full size and low profile mounting plates. You will need a small socket to unscrew the DVI cable screw connectors as these also hold the card to the mounting plate3) The card has a dual-link DVI-D connector and an HDMI 2.0b port. No DisplayPort so if you want this connection checkout other brands as some of these have a DisplayPort instead of the DVI-D connector. The DVI-D output has no analog signal so to connect to a VGA monitor you will need an active DVI-D to VGA Adapter. Would have given it five stars if the DVI port had been a DVI-Integrated dual link so you could connect to VGA without an adaptor.4) Support for 4K output at 60Hz so can be used with 4K TVs.

Great for SFF low power PCs
I brought a GV-N1030D5-2GL as a graphics card for an HP Elite Small form factor computer to allow my boy age 12 to play 1080p games such as Roblox, Minecraft etc.The card needs to be low profile and low power as the PC’s PSU is only 240 Watts and it has no provision for powering a graphics card other than via the x16 PCIe connector. This card ideal for this application. Having GDDR5 memory it is significantly faster than DDR4 versions of the GT 1030, which should be avoided.I opted for gigabyte as it seems a good product. The build quality seems excellent and so far I have no complaints as the card benchmarks as expected for a GT 1030. Having tried a few games the performance is perfectly adequate for older games and many modern games at 1080p with the graphics settings set appropriately. If you using a PC as an office machine this card will provide a fluid 4k / dual monitor experience far superior to the built in graphics.

Silent, cheap, small and surprisingly capable graphics card
A fantastic little card. The GT 1030 provides enough graphical power to play most games at medium settings (at 1080p) and is very good at eSports games. The heat sink is quite bulky, taking up two slots internally, but the bracket only occupies one. As it's passively cooled (and it's only 30W TDP) it is silent. You also don't need a beefy PSU, obviously, and it doesn't require an extra PCIe power connection so it provides a welcome upgrade from Intel's integrated graphics with very little hassle. The card comes with a low-profile bracket if you're going to be installing this into those slim cases (like many Dells for example) but the standard height bracket is fitted by default. If you're an occasional gamer like me, then this card is perfect. Immensely more capable than integrated/on-board graphics and it doesn't cost much either. Love it.
