Great for small homes
We brought this item for our 2 bedroom home we are renting. We were considering a ring alarm but avoided it due to having to pay a subscription for app features. The Yale app works great and we have had no issues after 1 month of using it. It's simple but effective. The components were easy to set up and so far have worked without any issues.

Dies exactly what yale says it does. Excellent.

Overpriced, no GSM, and a bit fiddly.
Hey, l used to like yale but the 320 is cheap. There is no SMS and this was not made clear.I like my alarm to talk to my mobile. In fact, I demand it! Internet cables can be cut. This one was OVERPRICED and, honestly, it underplayed.Personally, it wasn't what l (or we) really need.If you have obvious coax coming in get a sturdy iron box to protect cables or burglars cut them.Buy cheap, pay quinta to decima.I have nothing against Yale but this cheap one won't serve. Pay more, even 300 more and worry less.Ya need one that GSMs to your mobile, trust me!My Uncle Martin advised GSM too and he knows a few things. I'm hoping Amazon will go WHAMAZON!!! and expand their GSM range as there are too few and l've checked and (personally, my opinion) feel Amazon can do a LOT better, like the better U.S. Parent. No offense, Amazon, l'm expanding a market. "Cord cutter" is not good anymore! Thanks for readin' & much Love to you and yours! Dx

Yale AC-PBX Powered External Siren..... not so good
I liked the idea of a mains powered Siren with battery backup, no more climbing a ladder to replace batteries when needed...... This unit is powered from the mains and should that power fail the batteries take over BUT the batteries are standard alkaline ones, not rechargeable ones as you might expect (I did).So at some point in the future, it will be necessary to change the batteries and you may not be aware that these batteries have failed/discharge prior to that because unless mains power has been lost it's only then that Yale App will report the battery condition, but not when it's using mains power! Of course, that might occur when you’re not available to replace the batteries, leaving your property unprotected. If the backup batteries were rechargeable this would be unlikely.Returned unit for refund.
