This scoop works excellent and feels naturally comfortable at hand. Great for hard ice cream, easy to rinse off and is always handy in the sink drain basket cup. After years -- actually decades -- trying to find an ice cream scoop that can tackle very hard ice cream and never succeeding, I tried this one. It's more expensive than the usual scoops but it WORKS!!! It's heavier and stronger and the pointed bowl really digs in easily and makes even the hardest ice cream surrender! I have arthritis in both hands and this is a game changer for me. My son-in-law really loves ice cream and I sent one to him and he too is thrilled with how much easier this scoop make serving up ice cream. No more hot water or letting the ice cream sit out for a while. Just open the container and dig in!

I have been through so many ice cream scoopers over the years and could never find one that was just right. They're usually the ones that you squeeze and they would do the job but they would never last. My mother-in-law has a very old copper one that doesn't have all the mechanics and whenever we go to her house and have ice cream I always think it's the best type and wished I could find one. So I started searching and since it was old and an antique I couldn't find one like it. So I went to my always go to trusted Amazon. And I'm glad I did because I found this one .I figured it would be a lot better than all the ones that break because of the spring or whatever would go wrong with them. So after reading all the reviews and going through tons of them in my basket to go over again and review myself and it being a little more expensive than I thought I wanted to spend it's was well worth it. It's the best ice cream scoop I've ever used. Very sturdy looks like it will last for years , but not too heavy to handle. It's just perfect. One thing that was very important to me when I was reading the reviews was getting 100% stainless steel. After reading so many reviews of some that I thought were prettier with a cool colored handle or something that I would really like I saw that they were Chrome plated and the Chrome chipped off or become pitted and I definitely didn't want that. That's why I decided to spend a little more than some that I saw for very cheap that were prettier and I'm very very pleased that I ended up with this one. It actually looks like and old retro one they would maybe use in an old timey ice cream parlor. I think that's why I was looking at some of the ones with the Retro colored handles but sometimes that draws us in when were looking for something old-fashioned. But they're usually not made as well as things from the old days when people really cared about the quality of their work. This one is definitely made well. I highly recommended it especially if you're trying to find a good quality one this is is the one. Go for it you won't regret it when you scoop that first scoop!😋

Purchased to replace a store bought scoop that had become corroded after only a few months of usage and handling. This ice cream scoop is sturdy. I mean like it has heft and you feel like you could use it for self defense. Get it the right temperature and it is a smooth operator at serving up ice cream even from the hardest and coldest containers. The grip is nice and feels good in your hand. Has survived well being washed in our dish washer for many months now. Love it! Now if I could fine a Pie Cutter with the same good feeling for serving alamode!
