Are the bowls dishwasher safe?

I have been putting all my 4 bowls in the dishwasher (top shelf) for the past 2 years and they are all perfectly fine with no loss of shape or seal.

Do the spare bowls fit the compact feeder?

Yes. I purchased the SureFlap SureFeed Sealed Pet Bowl and this extra bowl.

How many bowls do you get?

The feeder comes with 1 bowl, but additional bowls can be bought from amazon in different colours. This also applies to the small (colour matched) mat which is (loosely)fitted in the unit for the cat to put its front paws on. Any spillages can be soon wiped clean without having to clean the whole unit every time.
