I love the Genbolt cameras I have 2 now and the set up is so simple to do plus its easily explained and illustrated in the booklet that you get inside the box.I downloaded the genbolt app and added the device to my account so I can easily access both cameras.It looks great and the features are just top quality, you can set it up to your liking, the motion detection is excellent it follows the person around and triggers an alarm whilst recording, its simple to download a specific event that's stored and you just download the clip to your device, the 8mp camera Is crystal clear in daytime and night mode, it's a security light at night too. 100% worth the money and the customer service team are fantastic. I definitely recommend all their products.

The media could not be loaded. I'm quite impressed with this camera, considering it's low price tag the camera feels solid and quite light. the image quality is great, although you do have to change from SD to hd in the app. setting this up took me less than 5 minutes on the app and just as quick to add to my NVR using the onvif settings. the PTZ is smooth and quiet, it is far quicker using the POE option than over the wifi. as soon as you enter the settings you are prompted to change the password, which is a plus for me. the human tracking works well it seems to switch to the person closest to the camera to focus on, and tracks quite for a distance. a nice feature that could be added it a reset to original position after tracking as the camera remains focused on the are it last tracked a human A small instruction handbook would be helpful to explain some of the settings in the app, although these can be easily figured out. Overall this is worth itI tested this on my front door until i find a permanent position, perhaps replacing one of my bullet cameras

I have bought top named brands in the past but none match the reliability of this one.The material is good quality plastic, and waterproof, which makes it lightweight.It was a doddle to fit and set up, the easiest I have ever done.Night time vision is awesome in Black & White. Colour is good up to about 30 yards at night, after that use monochrome for best.I run a 256gb card in it and it records over a month, 24 hours a day. Accessing the files is easy too.The pan and tilt are quick too.My only critisism would be there are only basics instructions and no support forum to refer to. It would be handy to know what every setting means and does.Other than that, spot on value for money.

Quality of the camera picture wise is brilliant, ability to track and recognise people great, zoom good. What isn't good however is the fact it's impossible to link the camera via WiFi. It has to be physically connected to set it up before being able to connect via WiFi. Ok so if that was once it would be fine but when you having to climb a ladder to to unscrew to set it up if you change providers getting a new router it's an absolute pain.

When I first got it out of the box I was impressed, it's bigger than I thought it would be and looked nice. Then it was downhill from there.I work in IT and it took me 45 minutes to connect it - I bought the Bluetooth model, it doesn't connect to Bluetooth at all. Tried the QR code method, still nothing. I didn't really want to connect via ethernet, as once installed, if ever I had to re-set it up, I'd have to take it all down to bring it indoors to reconnect. But that was the only way to connect it, and straight away it was working.The user manual and the app are poorly translated from Chinese, the wording used is cryptic and doesn't align with what is in the app or what you actually need to do. The app is basic and has a clunky interface and no way intuitive.I struggled to try all the settings to attempt to resolve all the issues I had and test the features it stated the camera had. The end blocker was the notifications - ever 10 seconds you'll receive a notification even if it's the same trigger. So imagine you have it at your door, somebody comes towards it, rings the door and you chat to them at the door for 5 minutes. Your phone will have received 30 notifications. It doesn't detect it's the same source and there is no way to snooze these notifications (either via the app or via the mobile device), the only way is to turn notifications off for the duration, then remember to turn it back on.So although I'd contacted support to rectify, I'd read the other reviews and googled it enough to know there wasn't a solution, so I decided to return it.Worryingly I then got a response from Genbolt support requesting my camera UID and password, so that someone in China, could then access my camera to confirm the settings. You read that correctly, they can dial in and access your camera footage. I appreciate there might be a password there, but I don't believe there wouldn't be a way for them to get round it if they wanted to!Then the kicker - I received an automated email from Genbolt stating that if I give them a 5 star review on Amazon, and sent them proof of this, they would extend my warranty by 6 months and send me a gift. Alas there seems to be no way to report this review bribery to Amazon, so I can only question the other reviews her as to their validity.On the plus side, the LED lights are nice a bright!Highly recommend you check out Reolink on Amazon as a superior alternative.Update (April 2025) - Since writing this review, Genbolt have bombarded me with emails, initially offering a refund (which I'd already got via Amazon), then offering me a superior product - which would use the same software and have the same issues (erm...?). With the caveat I change my review score! Every 6 to 10 days since I receive an email from them (American email address, but sent from China - why bother?!?), asking me to change my review and what they can do to change my mind. I've now had to mark as spam so I no longer get pestered. Still suggest you avoid!
