It looks beautiful...but not sure what the tune is that it's playing....supposed to be Swan Lake..TBH can't make it out?

The media could not be loaded. This could be a nice little gift for ballerina fan. On arrival it worked perfectly. It lights up in a sequence of colours and plays music whilst the base inside goes around. The music isn't the nicest but it looks pretty.Within minutes one of my younger grandchildren picked it up, it's a heavy item and she dropped it from a height of around 1 foot onto carpet so it was a fairly low impact drop. I was relieved it didn't damage the globe but it did knock the base out of alignment and there was no way to get it back so it no longer works correctly. You can see on my photos that the base inside the globe is now raised at one side so it no longer rotates or plays the tune.Children are going to pick these things up, they are going to want to try and get them to work so I would expect it to be a little more durable than that.

Perfect idea for a little girl who never takes her tutu off. BUT the Swan Lake music didn’t work at all so useless. Very fisappointin

The build of this is solid and the product is delivered well protected in the packaging. There is a small LED light with a button cell battery pre-installed (although not disconnected with a pull tab) and the usual turn key for the music box. Can’t say that the jingle this plays is familiar at all, and one of the notes seems out of place to me, as if off key, but this could be what the intended tune sounds like.The music box activation is connected to a gearing mechanism that drives the statue area into a spin as well as a fan mechanism to create an internal vortex which keeps the snow effect going. The price is average for this type of ornament and I think it’s worth the cost.

Purchased this item for my Great Niece , who at 9 years old is a keen ballet dancer and gymnast.She will adore this beautiful Ballerina globe. the ballerina figure is very sweet, I really like the pearl decoration around the base, and I absolutely love the glitter snow.

With a better musical mechanism it would get another star, but it runs at most for a minute, highly respective during that minute, sometimes makes mechanical noises louder than the music at times, and the movement is jerky soon after winding it,, though holding it at an angle seems to help.It is heavy, and the centre pedestal seems to be on a pivot, as it is at an angle when it comes to rest.I have renovated a few very old musical boxes, so I will l open it and see if I can modify it.It has a couple of lights in it operated by a little switch underneath, run by two button cells which does add something in the dark, see the picture.Afraid this would not put any child to sleep though like the ones I already have, it runs nowhere near long enough, but the idea is OK, plenty of snow.
