Quality materials…Tough and smooth
High quality reel that is smooth and strong. Much higher quality than the low profile plastic disposable junk most companies put out today. It has old school design with solid, trust worthy materials.

Gears are not real smooth and the line counter is very sticky you have to push the button twice to get it to reset.

I have used this reel on a downrigger and found it extraordinarily easy to use without getting any tangle line in the process. Knowing how much line is let out I found very good. A fantastic reel!

Not that great
I have 2 of these feels and first off the line counters are far from accurate you have to make a chart to tell how much line you have out example my reel reads 41on line counter line out is 50 feet ,45=55 feet out, 53=65 feet out, 58=70 feet out. That isn't close for flat lining. Second the drag is 2 concave discs and if you want a lite drag and you back it off a little to many clicks the next thing you know is you have no drag at all because the concave drag washers no longer touch each other very poor design. I would not recommend these reels.

Got a chance to use my new reel last week. Worked great.

Inaccurate Counter
Although this reel appears to be well constructed and operates smoothly, the line counter is very inaccurate (way off). With 20 feet of line out, the counter reads 14 feet, off by 30%. It gets even worse as additional line is played out. Tried it several times with the exact same results. Returned it for a refund.
