Im an internet technician and tried this WiFi repeater. Bought two and both failed. Followed instructions and no success. Notes as described are not reliable notes by the seller. Both couldn’t connect by following the WPS, only one did and after I unplugged and reconnected, it never went solid blue. Both blinked red. Had no reason too. Blinking red meant repeater failure. I also used IP address to try and connect with repeater and said site was not available etc.I followed instructions to the core. Some of you had success. I’m sure it’s a good repeater but if both failed new out of the box then I have no reason to keep to sell or replace them. I spent around 1.5 hours making sure I was not in the wrong.For many this repeater may not be to easy to connect although it is but it all depends who you are.

I spent over 3.5 hours trying to set up this unit. I tried the WPS and the browser method to no avail. I have no idea how I finally managed to set it up through the browser since it kept saying it had no internet connection. The light is still blinking red and the unit runs hot, but the dead zones are gone and I have full coverage throughout my apartment. I just don't think the unit is going to last since it runs quite hot. UPDATE - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!! I reached out to them on 5 occasions and sent them eight screenshots describing the issues I'm experiencing; each time, I received a completely bogus response claiming that they're conducting endurance tests and that my question has been sent to the engineering department. They promised a solution within 48 hours. It's been 13 days and all they've done is string me along. I've wasted an additional 4 hours resetting the unit over and over to get it to work properly to no avail. Don't waste your time like I did, stay away from this company.2nd UPDATE: I'm upgrading my review because for the first time in 6 months, the extender has a steady blue light as opposed to flashing red. I only plug it in occasionally because I rarely watch TV in my bedroom. I have to say that it greatly improves the signal in an area that has poor reception, and this, whether it flashes red or is solid blue. The reason for my original one-star review was for the non-existing support I received from the company and all the wasted time I spent trying to set it up correctly because it was flashing red. I plugged it in my usual wall socket today, low and behold, the light was steady blue, I didn't change a thing or reset it, I just plugged it in and voila! Very strange but I hope this helps out someone else who's getting the DREADED FLASHING RED LIGHT. Just let it be as long as the extender improves your signal.

No matter what I did I could not get it to connect to our net work

Took a bit to set up but typical. They stream video way better than going to Spectrum wifi unit. Basically just sharing the signal to this unit, with a J45 internet cable to Samsung TV. Had problems with Pureflux constantly buffering. They said it was a Samsung issue they were working. They were right because I hooked this up and it cured the issue AND SPEEDED UP ALL STREAMING! . Well worth the $
