Buy this bike it is well worth it
I have had this bike since the end of October 2024 the gotrax r1 and let me just start by saying this is hands down the best ebike I have come across as far as value for money !!! I have put well over 1000 miles on this bike and it gets around 20 miles per charge on throttle only mode. It is user friendly and I remember when I got it the instructions were very clear and it was an easy to put the wheel in it came with tools as well. Let's talk about features this bike comes with a 48 volt battery up tested might I add making it acceptable anywhere that usually does not accept lithiom ion battery's as well as giving the user peace of mind (no one wants there ebike to become a suicide bomb so that alone is a huge reason to buy this bike it has 5 speed settings which are customizable in the program menu for peddle assist throttle is not effected by the pedal assist settings.moving onto speed this bike easily does 20 in full throttle and have gotten it to go 35 down hills there was no worry or speed wobble at those speeds and I was very happy with the balance and overall handling. The battery can be charged in or out of the bike and it comes with two keys for the battery and one charger which comes with a voltage regulator. The customer service of this company is unmatched I unfortanly had an accident on this bike about 4 weeks back now in which I cracked the screen it was my fault for being on my phone with one hand I have since got a phone holder but the craziest part with the screen cracked and I mean CRACKED PIECES LITTERALLY MISSING it still turned on and worked up until I replaced it with the new screen. Go trax does a two year warranty and all I had to do to get my new parts was to contact them via email to submit my claim including a picture of the problem as well as my order receipt number which is very easy to find on amazon. I must say as I use this bike every day I am so very thankful to the go trax support team for there quick response to my claim and getting the parts shipped under warranty completely free of charge! They really honor and value there customers which is rare for a company nowadays and I will most definitely be purchasing from them in the future I already have my eye on an electric dirt bike they make and am currently saving for it. i use this bike for Uber eats and for commuting to and from work so this has been a game changer as far as not having to take care of a car pay gas prices insurance registration or inspection fees. The only con I can add to this review is that after about 3 months of use the screen had a bug where when I would turn on the bike it would do its normal count up and countdown but instead of the display coming on normally it would default to the settings menu and wouldn't let me exit. I called Amazon support and they contacted go trax who said theyd replace the bike under warranty. Being that I use this to commute I didn't want to wait for the time it would take to ship a new one and decided to see if there was a way to fix the big myself. I spent almost two hours string different things but I finally figured it out and the bug also never left that screen but to anyone who may have the same issue you just turn on the screen like normal and on the control buttons on the top right above the light button when the number gets to 9 on the count up you press and hold and it will exit that screen to the normal display and function as normal. So even the only con I can list turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I realized no one could steal the bike if they had the chance because no one knew about the bug and how to exit the screen it was like having my own little extra security. Fortunately the new screen looks and works just fine I'll end this review by saying I highly recommend this and any gotrax product to someone who is looking for a product that will last and be confident about the performance thank you again gotrax for this wonderful bike and the aMazing customer support

My Car’s Jealous Now
This bike straight up stole my car’s job. I thought I’d just use it for short trips or maybe toss it in the trunk when I wanted to ride a trail on the weekend—but nah, this thing’s been clocking more miles than my sedan lately. The folding design is slick. It ain’t some flimsy gimmick either—it folds clean, locks in place, and feels solid once you unfold it. I live in an apartment with barely any hallway space, and this thing parks next to my coat rack like it belongs there.Out on the streets, the ride’s smoother than I expected. That 500W motor doesn’t play around when it kicks in, especially on pedal assist level 4 or 5. It’s like your legs just got promoted to pro athlete. I’ve been zipping past traffic, catching green lights, and showing up to work feeling like I just got off a joyride. Full electric mode is cool if I’m feeling lazy, but I usually keep it on pedal assist to still feel like I’m doing something. Charging’s simple too—plug it in before bed, and by morning it’s ready to roll. What I really dig is how it handles different streets. I’ve taken it through rough pavement, dirt paths, even some sketchy gravel shortcuts behind the shopping center, and it holds up. Disc brakes grip tight when you need them, and the lights are bright enough that cars actually notice you at night—big plus for me since I hit the road early before the sun’s up. It’s not a mountain bike, but it’s way more capable than I thought a folding bike would be.It also got this clean little LCD screen that shows your speed and battery at a glance—no fuss, no hunting through menus. I never thought I’d geek out over an electric bike, but this one feels like it gets me. No more waiting on Ubers or praying the bus isn’t late again. I just hop on, hit the throttle, and let it do its thing. If you’re debating whether to snag one, let me say this: your legs will thank you, your wallet will thank you, and your gas tank will stay full a lot longer. It’s more than just a toy—it’s actually part of my day-to-day now. I ride it more than I thought I would, and every time I do, it puts a stupid grin on my face.

The foldable design makes it incredibly convenient for storage and transport, perfect for city dwellers or travelers. The 5 pedal-assist levels and LCD display add to the convenience and riding experience. The fat tires provide excellent stability and grip on different terrains. Overall, this e-bike is well-built, powerful, and versatile. Highly recommended!

Great for the price
Pros: Highly rated, seems well built, overall fairly easy to assemble (see cons), works as advertised, fun to ride, came with a color display (nice), very good bike for the priceCons: Seat is not very comfortable, front fender/headlightwas a pain to put on, key location (underneath thr bike) is very awkward to reach, pedal assist lags a little bit (but not horrible)The pros win over the cons in my view, it's a nice bike that works well.
