I have been interested in watercolours for just over a year now and I've always been quite pleased using my Winsor and Newton Cotman brushes and I have seen many people recommend these brushes but I've had trouble locating a UK supplier and wasn't keen on the idea of paying the taxes from the U.S.I was pleasantly surprised to see them on Amazon and the price did not put me off as I knew these brushes were of high quality and I was definitely not disappointed.After using many other brushes and did not think using an expensive brush would not give you noticeable benefits straight away but I was wrong. These brushes are absolutely incredible and the amount of water the hold is beyond anything I've ever used before and the way it releases the pigment onto the paper is such a fascinating experience and I recommend if you're into taking your art to the next level I would not hesitate to use these brushes.Don't be put off by the price as you will not be disappointed.

I love this range of brushes - I have struggled a bit with the round brushes due to their very long points but I'm working through the issues this causes and getting used to them.This brush, however, is beautiful to use. Soft, even laying of washes and holds an absolute ton of paint.Perfect for sky and landscape washes on larger formats.As you would also expect from Silver, the build quality is amazing

A very versatile brush. Easy to control water. One can achieve a great variety of marks using just this one brush. It gets cleaned thoroughly very fast when a change of colour is needed; very important for watercolour!

I bought this brush for use with my watercolors. It hold lots of water when needed and hold paint equally well. It glides over the paper. I really like it. It is a bit pricey, but worth it.

Ich mag diesen Pinsel sehr, ich verwende ihn für Aquarelle. Bisher habe ich nur mit Synthetikpinseln gemalt. Großflächig malen war für mich immer eine Herausforderung, weil ich entweder zu wenig oder zuviel Wasser aufgenommen hatte und die Übergänge waren immer irgendwie "grob". Mit diesem Pinsel bekomme ich weiche Übergänge hin. Die Bezeichnung "Black Velvet" ist sehr treffend: Der Pinsel ist unglaublich weich. Die Spitze läuft sehr fein zu und man kann damit (mit der richtigen Technik und etwas Übung) tolle Linien ziehen.
