My opinion is, as with almost all reviews, subjective but I strongly believe that this is one of the best bilge pumps you can buy. And.... it's good value for money.For those who don't know what it is used for: to pump water that comes into a boat via the propeller shaft out of that boat. When you grease the space between the shaft and the shaft channel properly, then not a lot of water should come in. The bilge is the area where the water is collected, the pump lays on the floor and will start pumping as soon as it detects water.

What an awesome pump - small & compact so it fitted easily under my engine. The sensor has no moving parts so it will not stick like other pumps i have had. The none return valve is a big plus as the contents of the bilge pipe do not empty back in to the bilge. It continues to pump for a few seconds after the bilge is empty ensuring as much water as possible is removed. The pumps in my bayliner left about 30mm of water in the bilge, this pump leaves less than 10mm. Both the filter and Motor are easily removed for cleaning. This is the best pump I have ever purchased. it may cost a little more but well worth it. Cant comment on reliability yet but but being a "whale" it should last.

It says that it will drain water down to as little as 8mm. I’ve got it sitting currently in 40mm and it won’t trigger automatically. Manually all it does is make a whirring noise. No water is pumped. Very disappoInting waste of money.

This is a very good bilge pump and does the job. I did have issues wiring it to my switch but that was not due to the actual pump. The only issue I have is fitting and keeping the pump in its little yellow holder which is screwed onto a fixing in the bilge.

Ordered the product which arrived well packaged within 2 days.Fitting instructions very straightforward and now installed on a small open boat, powered by a 12v 12Ah battery charged from a small solar panel.Battery remains fully charged despite very little sun since installation, and quite a bit of pump operation due to rain.Would definately use this retailer again - highly recommended

I bought this as a spare to replace the same pump on my boat if it should stop working. 2 seasons on still going with no issues, really good

i needed a bilge pump that does not have to have 3 inches of water before it starts and then leaves the area still with water . I like dry bilges and Whale have developed such a pump to do the job..
