One fan had a ball bearing that was broken. The other fan was stuck at 100%. I replaced both fans with this kit and immediately both fans were operating normally once again. Great product. It even came with tiny little screwdrivers and case opening kits to assist. Very thoughtful.

So they get two stars. Overall, one of the fans, the GPU fan, arrived defective. As soon as I took it out of the box and gave it a spin I knew. But, maybe it would settle once in place. Nope. As soon as I turned my 2020 ASUS TUF 15 back on, it was audibly clear it was a bad fan. LUCKILY I really only needed a CPU fan replacement and that one was ok out of the box.And on MY laptop I didnt have to remove the heatsink. Just unscrewed the fans and carefully lifted them out of place from under the heatsink with just a SLIGHT lift of the motherboard. None of this disturbed the thermal paste in any location, either. So these are EASY to install, you just gotta hope you get TWO working fans which is what you're paying for here, at the good price theyre sold at. As for my GPU fan ordeal, I just put my original one back in, & now with the new CPU fan installed my 5yr old(2020 model) ASUS TUF 15 laptop is back to being whisper silent once again. Allonsy!
