Probably not for a professional sitarist, but well worth it for a beginner
I ordered this right as the pandemic started so I had to wait a very long time for it to arrive which I was extremely impatient. But man it was a very exciting day going to the post office and receiving it.I’ve yet to find a teacher, but I feel a connection to this instrument. I imagine there’s wayy better sitars out there. But for an American who wants to learn Indian Classical music and study/ appreciate the culture, I’d say it’s worth the price for what it is
