I had tried several different pumps for my rain collection barrel but was not satisfied with either their performance or ability to remain submerged and still operate. This pump was relatively expensive, but it works perfectly and the flow rate is ideal for filling watering cans. I run it off of a sealed 12-volt battery.

$50-60, is more expensive that cheap Chinese pumps. Has better performance than other pumps. I found it a bit lack-luster for my electric portable shower. My hand-pumped 30 year old aging 2 gallon stainless steel insect sprayer with water fountain head shower still performs better. Powered by a battery jump starter, means no more hand pumping, and 5 gallon container has more capacity than 2 gal container. + submersible, small size. Needs more performance, lower cost, quicker shipping. Mine arrived in a foreign, suspious looking package from Ukraine.

This little pump really moves water! This pump was a great purchase.

I use it on my sailboat to pump out the water from the keel . This pump is great I bought a cheaper one before and that didn't do ther work. I highly recommended. It cost a bit more but does the job.

I use this to transfer solution for hydroponic trays. The reinforced harness for the 12VDC wires is durable and protects the wires from fatigue. Plenty of flow, I haven't clogged it yet. Keeps pulling water out when flush on the bottom of the tray or bucket. Small profile makes it useful for small access ports and I don't have to lift heavy water-filled vessels to drain them pretty much dry. More expensive but worth it.

Edit #2: You can read my original reviews/comments below, but I wanted to let anyone looking at this trash pump know that in April of 2023 I bought and installed a Whale Marine GP1352 12V pump. It is now July 3, 2024 and the Whale is still running as strong as ever.I originally gave this pump a 3-star review (because of the super short cord), but now it's down to ONE star. I hooked this pump up on 2-16-2022 and it completely died on 07-19-2022. I used it exactly 9 - 10 minutes every day, so very little use.This pump was a complete waste of not only time, but MONEY. DO NOT BUY THIS. $54 is a JOKE.You're better off buying one of the cheap $10 - $12 12V pumps you can find on Amazon. The last one I had lasted 6 months. I've tried many of these 12V pumps over the years and the cheap ones last at least a few months, so you might as well buy 3 or 4 of those and just replace them as needed.Original 3-star review: I couldn't make up my mind whether to give two stars or three. I've been using this pump for around 10 minutes at a time every day for a couple of weeks and so far it is working great. It's a strong pump and I don't hear any issues with the motor. HOWEVER, the cord is tiny!!! It says in the item specs that the cord is over three feet long, but the one I received is only around two feet! That is waaaaay too short, especially for the price of this pump. The manufacturer should provide AT LEAST a four - six foot cord for the price, and if the user wants a shorter cord they can just cut the excess.

Pumps better than I had hoped, and I really like the size of it.Leaks between thread/barb adapter and pump output tube. It will sort out will return etc. , but I wish this had been sorted out in QC.Update:. I was sent a replacement, and it has been rock solid.
