I have spent many hours researching travel mugs, so I could finally have a leak free hot latte every morning when I commute to work. This was the winner. With this leak free AUTO SEAL mechanism , a Mercedes of coffee mugs. It was expensive too, minimum £25 so I decided to wait an order one on AMAZON US half the price including the delivery . I even ordered extra one for my partner. While I was waiting I bought a budget HIWILL Double Walled Vacuum Insulated Travel Coffee Mug, for ten pounds. I chose the smaller size for my son and was using it while waiting for Contigo. Yes it was too small for a large latte but leak proof and hot for hours!!! When contigo 2.0 arrived it was impressive but heavy. The auto seal works well and it's easy to clean. It's bigger than Hiwill but that's what I wanted, Unfortunately coffee loose the temperature very quickly. Having been using the hiwill I could feel huge difference. No more hot coffee on my desk when I arrive to work. So disappointed....I am considering sending them back , but it will be to US ... UPDATE: After few hit and misses with latte temperature and rinsing the cup with boiling water to make it hot I have no issues with the right temperature for at least 3 hours ! A win!

I have to say, from a thermal mug standpoint, this has to undoubtedly be one of the best or the best I've ever used temperature wise however when it comes to cleaning it isn't the easiest due to the complicated sealing mechanism. It is in every way perfect for keeping drinks both warm and cold ensuring neither leak however it can be a pain to clean. This isn't so much if you clean it instantly after use however being in the real world this isn't always possible. Having left it at work accidentally over weekends come Monday morning it takes me a good while to thoroughly clean. Overall I'd recommend the mug however be prepared to give it a good clean every now and then because it will most definitely need it and a dishwasher won't help you. Most other thermal mugs I've used have been dishwasher friendly but lack the thermal element, this is the opposite. You can't have it all ways I guess.

You could find this upside down at the bottom of your bag, full of coffee and it still wouldn't have leaked a drop. The blue colour is just fabulous.

Top is difficult to clean.

The only cup I found where it remains closed until you click to drink and then closes automatically after releasing the button. I don't need to remember to close it every time after I take a sip, what saved me by now from many, many spillages. Keeps warmth for a reasonable 6 hours and cold even longer.This is my third cup from this brand - 1 at work, second for my partner, third for myself for home use.The only downside is that it is narrow, so hand washing proves to be a bit challenging. Except that - perfect cup.

Depending on the outside-temperature, can be relied upon to keep the contents hot for 3 to 4 hours. The outside surface is smooth, comfortable to hold and of a really good finish. Are sturdy, but do try not to drop from any height onto a hard and/or jagged-surface, they are not indestructable. I ordered 2; replacing 1 that had fallen from a height of about 6 to 7 metres, the body survived, the top not! The 'other' got crushed in a pannier when my bike fell over onto it. Have used these for years and, seldom, do I ever go anywhere (hiking or touring) without them

Love the dark metallic purple colour.I tried a different contigo (yeah because it was cheaper!), the snapseal one and found the snapseal too tough for me to open with joint issues even to clean, I also found the design for sipping on the snapseal is nowhere near as good as this one even though the snapseal maybe easier to clean, it's not as easy to operate and drink from as this design.This is perfect for easy one handed gimp usage and sipping, definitely doesn't leak if you don't over fill - did that once and you have to keep liquid below the line, only natural that would cause leakage. That said if instructions are followed, you take reasonable care of it and you don't overfill it, it won't leak.I highly recommend either as an adult style tommy tippee mug, travel mug where you want easy use and often only able to use one hand at a time.

Product meets all of my requirements; lock is good as no leaks, lid is easily cleaned in the dishwasher but the only negative I have is the colour scratches off easily. I now have two scratches on the side which I did not expect to happen. I can see eventually all the colour will come off. The lid is easily cleaned but it is more difficult to clean the container and have to leave it to soak as I do like my coffee strong and it leaves marks inside.
