Snails and roots cut short
I mean it is what it is, they cut the roots pretty short and there was some root rot, there were also lots of baby snails. And not the good kind, the type that take over the whole tank. I think the plant might also not survive but I’ll hope it does. It doesn’t help that I have to quarantine the plant and pick off any and all snails that show. This is really not worth your money but from else where. I would pay extra cause how this plant was treated.

Nice lettuce!
I was so excited and nervous to get these water lettuce. I know they are fragile during shipping and during the summer heat won't make it any easier. But I got these a day or so early and had I not been tracking it would have been left rotting in my mail box. The lettuce were in great shape but I wished shipping wasn't via USPS MAIL.

Protect the roots from the fish
So these started out great. All 3. Then started shrinking smaller and smaller. Until I had about 10 tiny plants. Took them from the pond and put them in the pot fountain and now they are thriving. Over 100 plants easy over the last few months. Protect the roots from the fish. Check water everyday for proper PH and nitrates. Plants need food. Nitrates from the ammonia changed by the bacteria. Too much hurts fish not enough plants die. So they will grow. Right now they are over growing, and when they break off they get washed down the water fall into the pond. From now on I will rotate the plants from pond the top of fountain. I credit this water lettuce for better water, all the extra nutrient absorption and water clarity. They fish have eaten all other pond plants. Only some seeweed and amazon sword I think. Pretty much gone. Oh well. But this water lettuce. It grows nice and quick and thick. Check your water with test strips.

Highly Recommend!!
Received my water lettuce today and it looks so healthy, despite its recent travels to get to me. It also came with clear, concise instructions, what to expect and the possibility of it looking not-so-healthy had the temps been hotter or the travel days longer. They did a great job of setting expectations prior to taking a look at the plants themselves. Definitely recommend!!!
