A lot of azelaic acids have a weird, gritty texture, but this one goes on pretty smooth. There’s still more texture than a plain lotion, but it’s not too bad. It doesn’t really have a smell, which I like.This is a high quality and pretty potent acid. I recommend mixing it with a little bit of plain lotion (I use Vanicream) when you’re getting used to it to cut down on irritation.I use it to treat hyperpigmentation and redness, and it certainly seems to perform well. I’ve noticed a significant decrease in redness and flushing since I started it.Overall it’s a pretty good value for what it does. It seems to go a long way, especially since I mix it with moisturizer.

Initially used dime sized amount on freshly washed skin, developed burning sensation after a few minutes, had to wash it off and apply cool moist washcloth. I don't have "sensitive" skin and never experienced something like this before. Used much smaller amount on unwashed skin without irritation.Used another Azelaic Acid 10% product without any burning sensation.What ingredient is causing burning sensation???

I’ve been using this for about 2 months - almost everyday- and it has lightened my dark spots on my forehead- not as great on the deeper on lemon my cheek- but it’s an excellent addition to my skin care!
