Char's Zaku II (Ver. 2.0) "Mobile Suit Gundam, Bandai MG 1/100

Was fun and easy to assemble. The pipes were probably the most difficult part. Like most gunpla kits I’ve gotten these instructions are in Japanese.

The Red Comet is best exemplified in this MG kit of Char's Zaku 2 in the space variant. This was an enjoyable build in the end, but getting there was a journey for me. The insane segmented pieces for the tubes proved to be very challenging unless you have a lot of finger strength, which I did not have due to a shoulder injury. I took my time and moved it piece by piece, segment by segment. In the end, I am happy to have the Red Comet 2.0 posing next to the RX-78-2 2.0. This is a beautiful kit.

This is a slightly-updated (2.0) version of Char's Zaku II. The build is improved, but it's still the classic anime-accurate aesthetic. You don't get a lot of surface detail or visual complexity.It's an MG kit, so it's a little bigger and more-complicated than an HG kit. There's a fantastically-detailed inner-frame, as well as a couple pilot figures. The articulation is fantastic. The whole thing is very poseable. The instructions are great, as always. And like most gunpla - it's a press-fit kit, so you shouldn't need any glue.Note that the posed images in my review used the G-Rework decals - not the decals/stickers included in the kit.

The model kit is great and the delivery is fast but the box is torn. So 4 stars
