Amazingly versatile
Not as tough as my combi drill or quite as light or short as my impact driver. But I haven't yet had anything it couldn't do for any of its functions(save one concrete wall I had to use a percussion drill for. This is now the only power tool I have permanently packed in my tool bag for general handyman work. So quick, so efficient so compact.

One tool to rule them all / does what it says on the tin
This is a great multi-functional drill/driver/impact. It can do everything (most things) that you want from a drill driver. The masonry hammer action is superb, the impact rate is great and drills great using Bosch hex bits. It's screwdriver functionality is great, gentle if you want all the way to crazy impact for 6 inch screws. And a Tek screw mode, works great. The only downside is that it struggles with large (i.e. 32mm) zip bits, but that is above its stated abilities! It cuts out if the torque goes too high. 20mm is fine though on lower speed....If you want to carry one tool, this is the one

Really not impressed with your returns policy. The item now does NOT work and very hard to replace?
This item only worked for 5 months!!!!!!What else do you want me to say?

Convenient
At last Makita catching up with bosch in bringing a multi use drill onto the market. So much more convenient, variable torque is useful in impact mode which seems to be contradictory, but it is V useful.

Half the space in my tool box
I use this every day at work and I’m glad I got it, it’s just as powerful as the drill and impact driver set supplied by work but it takes up half the space in my tool box. Switching between modes is so quick and easy. I like how I can set the power for the screws I’m using then switch to drill and when I switch back it’s still set and I don’t go and ruin the screw head or over tighten anything
