COC stands for "Captains of Crush". The weight rating on each gripper refers to the amount of pressure, in Pounds (lbs) it takes to close the Gripper fully.

Can you use these with fat gripz?

The captain of crush grippers are not combatable with thick grips

Me like the arrogant fool bought the 1.5 165lbs, i can only close it less than half way, will i still build strength or should i order a smaller size?

Partial reps will still build strength but to get the most out of the grippers you may want to get yourself another. We find it's best to have a range of grippers to work with. An easier one to work on technique with, this one should let you get in around 10 - 12 reps. One to train with. This should give you 3 - 4 reps. The final one is your goal strength, so you may not be able to close that one at all at first but over time you'll find it gets easier.
