Primed my residential well pump with it
This thing is pretty great value when my second best alternative is a Bosworth Guzzler pump for about $100. It had absolutely no trouble quickly pulling up water through my entirely dry well pump, entirely empty pressure tank, and entirely dry 1.5 inch, ~30 ft long PVC well piping between the pump and my well, down from a water table that is probably 15 to 20 ft below surface. To connect this hand pump to my well pump, I used a short hose, a spigot on my well pump, and a couple PVC adapters to connect the hand pump to the garden hose. The hand pump inlet is built to connect flexible tubing via a barbed fitting, but I was able to squeeze on a 1 inch schedule 40 fitting I found at Lowe's down the road onto a second 3/4 inch threaded fitting, which I then twisted onto a garden hose. I didn't need it to work great because the fitting isn't a permanent fixture. It just has to work good enough and long enough to pull water up from my well after a power outage or maintenance. - and it handily does the job. The construction of this pump is not very rugged. It probably wouldn't last long if it's kept outdoors in extreme temperatures, in the sunlight, and/or if it's used a lot, but it's a great buy for something like priming a well pump. If you need something rugged, you might want to get a Bosworth Guzzler instead (and be prepared to pay a lot more), but if you want something cheaper that's just 'good enough', this hand pump is great.

Excellent value for a small boat manual bilge pump
Well designed and constructed small manual bilge pump. It's plastic but very robust. My open fishing skiff lives on a mooring and collects rainwater. An electric automatic bilge pump takes care of most of the water but cannot get the last 1/2 inch or so. This one can --- and makes a great backup if the electric pump fails. It's mounted horizontally on the transom and the pickup fits through the same cutout that handles the hose from the fuel tank to the outboard motor. I was going to buy a Whale Gusher but this is smaller and much less expensive.UPDATE: Through a full season in saltwater, the pump performed as advertised and still looks like new.

Worth the money!
I bought to prime my Well Pump.I haven't used to prime well, yet, but for actual pumping seems to work great.Construction seems a bit light, but will do for what I need. For everyday use, I'm sure the Bellow would need replaced.

Use it to prime a water pump
I use this in series with a 12V solar water pump to prime it. Use this at the very end of the water line. After the solar pump starts to work, immediately remove this manual pump. All other prime method failed. Saved me a lot of labors.

Greta replacement part
Inherited a couple of sea kayaks, one often need a new pump. This went right in, no problem, and works great.

Great pump for priming a pump.
I liked this hand pump because it is small, light weight can be mounted down and has a strong suction. I am using it on my lake water pump when it loses it's prime. It gets the prime back in about 30 seconds. Great devise.

Use gently
These pumps are cheaply made but good for a backup or a non critical use. They will not withstand heavy use, pump slowly and gently, I have replaced two of the four on my boat. I ordered two more and received one but the Amazon software makes it impossible to get a refund..!! Best to go with another brand.
