Perfect if you're short of time and a bit of a slow colourer!
A lovely little book chock full of drawings that I can't wait to colour in. I love Johanna Basford's books - Ivy and the Inky Butterfly being my favourite, but I have to admit to usually skipping over some of the full page and mandala pics because despite liking plenty of intricate detail, I'm a bit of a slow colourer. This is great - it offers lots of variety, promises quick progress, and the quality is really lovely as always. It feels like Johanna has put a huge amount of thought into this – no, it won't be for everyone, but for those of us who are a little short on time, it's a lovely addition to the collection. Perfect to throw into a bag with a few pencils to take on a long plane journey too.

Beautiful, and handy sized book. Dozens (100’s) of small projects. Fun!
I’ve never coloured before, although I have recently started to try digital art - badly, although it’s enjoyable. I’ve seen these books for years but never really understood the attraction. But I’m constantly under pressure at work and can’t seem to turn off. So last night I decided to check these books out. Came across JB books and the write ups were positive. I also bought a set of Staedtler Ergosoft (lots of research) to use. They arrived early this morning. Initial impression was that the book one of quality. Beautifully presented. I specifically wanted a small book and something that I could complete quickly. Hence I bought small victories. It’s about 7 inches x 5 inches. I don’t know a huge amount about art paper, but it certainly feels like quality paper. I can’t imagine that pencil colour would bleed through to the next page. Lots of small projects throughout. Anyway I picked one, and made a start (the 1st picture). Didn’t take long, and I possibly spent longer choosing a colour than I did colouring, BUT I know that for the 7-10 mins it took me, I didn’t think of anything other than what I was doing and what colours I could use. It was definitely fun, and as I moved on to my 3rd and 4th project, I started to get a feel for the pencil, and when to add pressure and when not to. I’ll do a review on the pencils too. Back to the book. There are simply dozens of projects. It’s a super size to take on holiday, and the projects small enough to make you feel like you have achieved something. For someone with my personality, that is important. I have to feel productive in everything I do, so it’s nice to achieve something enjoyable in 10 mins. So, final thoughts. I need something to stop me thinking about my work, and to stop me scrolling during the night. It’s only been an hour or so, so I depict know if this is something I may continue, but on first impressions it’s fun and I’m in the moment.

My friend loved it
This is a lovely small colouring book. Some pages have one picture, others have numerous small pictures. My friend is an avid colourer and loved it. It fits in a handbag for travel. If you get the urge to colour and have not got a lot of time you can do one small picture to take the edge off. Good price as it has a decent cover. Quick delivery

Joanne Basford colouring book
Love her books although I did find the pages and detail quite small. Great to pop into a bag for holiday, but prefer her larger books

YOU NEED this book!
The media could not be loaded. This is my favourite book from Johanna! What a fabulous idea this book was. I feel some reviews are a little unfair as this book has been advertised as being pocket sized and dimensions of the book are readily available to see in the specifications.Yes some illustrations are reworked but in my opinion this book wasn’t about creating all new illustrations, it was to create a book of as Johanna calls them “small victories” illustrations in which people like myself with not a lot of spare time can colour a picture in 10-20 minutes and feel like they’ve achieved something by finishing an illustration.Pages that are less intimidating if your new to colouring or in a bit of a colouring slump.I’ve been doing small tutorials on each fruit from this page on my YouTube channel and I have been loving it!I feel like Johanna filled a gap in the market with this book! Genius idea ❤️❤️❤️
