I bought this drain pump after the original pump in my dishwasher was broken after nine years. It’s been a couple of days since installation and seems to be working well so far. This is an after market product and I do not expect it to last as long as the original one. Will update this review if need be but this is the best one I found for the price.

I used this to replace the impeller in my 4 year old Samsung dishwasher after figuring out the problem. My dishwasher was not draining the water and even leaked out from the door seal onto the floor flooding the kitchen.I did have extended warranty, however after 45 minutes on hold I was told it would be 7-10 days before someone could come out to look at it. What a waste of money.Ordered this on Amazon and received it the same day and installed it in a few minutes. I was surprised to see how chewed up my impeller was on the drain pump and found broken glass inside the housing as well, mystery of the chewed impeller solved.The wires on oem were blue wire on the front tab and black on the rear. On this unit it was reversed, otherwise the dishwasher would not turn on.After putting it back together and everything actually turning back on and at first there was a water leak but this time it was from the impeller housing, I think I may not have seated it properly, however I changed the seal to the old seal off the oem unit and reseated this one. It has been happy draining after that.

Purchased knowing this wasn't the right part for my model. Thought I'd take a chance it might fit given the correct part is $150 and this is $25. I regret buying a Samsung dishwasher. It's garbage. But I don't have the funds to buy what id like at the moment. My hope is this just buys us some time. So I needed part dd81-02635a. This fits but with a bit of fiddling. The clips don't line up exactly. Also after it's installed it will seat at a slant upwards. If you seat it slanted down it won't fit. The retainer clip also won't click on as it would if it was the right part. It's a good enough for my house situation. It is a bit louder than the original. Like I said this was a $25 gamble to buy us a couple months. So far no leaks but time will tell. The above is for reference purposes only. proceed at your own risk.
