Expensive, but worth every penny & perfect for my needs!
A couple of years ago I purchased a 3kW oil-filled radiator (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0000C6YWY) as a source of additional heating for our home. From the very first day, the plug on it used to get quite warm during use, and there would sometimes be a slight 'crackling' sound when first turned on. I assumed this was normal and due to the large current (up to 12.5A) drawn by the appliance. A couple of weeks ago it stopped working. So I tried replacing the fuse ... but when I opened the plug I was shocked to see that one end of the fuse holder was very, very charred - so charred, in fact, that a new fuse had no effect and the appliance still did not work.So I ordered this plug as a replacement, based on the reviews here, in the hope that the radiator would work with a new plug.It does, and the plug is perfect! I had to cut the old plug off and then strip down the wires to attach. This was easy though - this Sealey plug has high quality contacts (you can tell from the way the binding screws turn easily when you loosen and then tighten them), lots of space to bend the individual wires around to the terminals (this can be tricky with cheap plugs) but still has the important compartment separators to keep the wires apart. In use, even with 12.5A flowing through it, there is hardly any rise in temperature at all.The plug may or may not be made of Rubber - that does not matter to me - but I will add that it has a hard feel to it, and not the soft feel that some rubberized plugs have.It is slightly expensive, but worth every penny IMHO - one gets what one pays for!

Thick plastic not rubber. Works for high power items
Will update review once used but initial low rating is because, well it said rubber made but I cant see/feel any runner parts, its definitely thick plastic, good thick plastic but that's besides the point, to say its rubber is misleading. Have converted my bestway pool heater using about 2800watts from a 2 pin eu plug to this, used for an hour or so and it felt warm so will leave a further top up review with hopefully a better rating as along as it doesnt overheat melt.Updating review, had it on for a straight 6 hours powering a 2.8kw bestway pool heater and the plugins slightly warm but still going strong, hasn't triggered the safety cut out. Would be 5* but the seller lists it as rubber made even though it all seems like 100% thick plastic.

Does what it says on the tin
It worked fine for me to put the cable from my Soundbar onto after i had fed it through holes drilled on the back of my tv wall unit.

Sturdy exterior but standard terminals inside
I was looking for a cheaper alternative to MK tough plugs which have fantastic large contact areas between the pins and the cable that you are putting in. These unfortunately just have the same holes with screws that all normal plugs have and therefore I don't think they have the same current carrying capacity of the MK plugs

Plug for extension lead
This product was very good because I needed to replace and update an extension lead for safety reasons and has worked for me very well.
