We have a Dachshund, and a high bed. Dachshunds are burrowers, by nature, and no amount of discouragement can stop her from providing hot water bottle services, each night, by my wife’s feet, under the duvet. However, with their short legs - powerful as they are, relatively speaking - and long back, jumping up to heights, and landing when they miss, takes its toll on their spines. Having been warned of this, by the vet, we cast about and found this easy, lightweight and yet strong and easily cleaned solution. Now she can hop and skip up to the required height, and loves it so much, I have ordered another for our sofa - even though it’s lower (planning ahead).It’s literally life-changing for small dogs, especially where their health and wellbeing is concerned. They’re family, and we want her happy and well for as long a time as she has with us, so this is an absolute no brainer.Wonderful product, cannot recommend highly enough.I should say, it comes compressed, so don’t worry if a much smaller box arrives. It’s vacuum sealed, just break the seal and remove packaging, give it a shake and leave it a few hours, to fully decompress, and you’ll have just what you need.Make sure you order the right size, dependent upon height of couch/bed/whatever, as it comes in a variety of sizes. Ours is just as required, and a perfect top step, from which our pooch can hop onto the bed, but for a smaller dog, still, you’d need a size up.You owe it to your wee furry friend (your dog, not your partner!) to look after them and keep them healthy, active and happy. We have these in 2, 3 and 4 steps to enable our older spaniel to easily access beds, chairs, chaise longue and sofa! Very effective and works a treat. She doesn't blink in using them for ascent and descent. Sturdy, keeps shape, and easy to vacuum. 5*

The foam opened out quickly in a warm room (couple of hours). The cover went on easily and fit snugly although take care as not very strong around the zip. Looks neat and tidy. Our dog has started to get used to using it after a couple of days - so overall very pleased with the steps.

THESE STAIRS ARE ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! This step is perfect for helping my cocker spaniel get in and out of bed. I got the 4 step 53cm high one as my bed is quite tall and I noticed his legs aren't what they used to be. While he doesn't use it all the time it does help after we've been on a long walk and he's just a little bit stiff. It sits just below the mattress so doesn't disturb me at all, though my partner had walked into it at night.At first when we opened it up it was all squished and misshapen as it was vacume packed but true to the description it reformed after a few hours without any issues. The case is easily removable and was simple to put on/take off.While our pooch may not use it all the time it didn't take him long to understand how to use it but that may have been due to the praise we gave him as he started to use it.

Arrived very quickly, feels very sturdy and does the job of helping my dog get up onto the bed. However it’s not very well made… the cover doesn’t fit properly so too tight in some places and saggy in others. Also the zip broke several times as I was putting the cover on. I managed to fix it but there was also no end to the zip so it can just slide off if you’re not too careful (which it did do). In my opinion, it should be half the price it is.

Purchased for my senior cat who has arthritis in his back knee. He has been struggling to jump up on my bed/my knee. This has been in my home for 5 days and after initially ignoring it the cat has now taken to using it whenever he wants up on the bed. It's a good size, it's very soft to touch but sturdy made. I purchased this height as it matched the bed height. Have since ordered a three step one for putting beside the sofa. I can completely recommend this item to anyone who has either a very young or very old small dog/cat.

It looks good. But I didn't measure and realised that it wasn't going to be big enough. So I'm sending it back. But they are a useful thing to have
