Easy to repair, if....
This piece is easy to replace if the door is open. My door was closed and it was a nightmare to get the lock to spin because of the angle and the deck height. Overall, I am very satisfied with the delivery and operation of this device. I don't know how long the unit will last.

Worked like a charm!
I came across this after watching a guy on YouTube who had this part linked. My dad and I were able to install it in a matter of 30 minutes. It’s been installed now for a couple of months. I’ve had no issues. It works like a charm.

Works Perfectly
No problems with installation. (Only took me a few minutes) I highly recommend watching a YouTube video on the installation, though. Easier with video directions! Product seems very high quality and so far is working very well at latching the tailgate on my 2018 Suburban.

Stuck closed and no manual release
After a couple months, the latch just stop working. The liftgate on my Yukon is now locked closed, and this latch version apparently doesn’t include a manual release. This basically means I cannot use the rear gate. Anyone have guidance?
