These are very high-quality concentrated supplements. I use Acetyl-L-Carnitine in the morning, which helps my morning fog clear a little. I use it in the afternoon on some very sluggish days to keep my concentration and focus and think clearly. On well rested days, I don't even "need" coffee. I've noticed some slight side-effects to this supplement. You may get a funny taste in your mouth, though it is very mild, and I find myself getting slight pressure headaches especially when taken in addition to B-Complex supplements. If taken too late in the afternoon or evening, you may suffer from insomnia, restlessness, or sustained energy. I have not noticed my memory improving much yet but started taking this supplement a week ago. However, with less "fogginess" and therefore being able to concentrate better on lectures, conversation and task, I can imagine that would translate into better memory over time.

I'm very pleased with this L-Carnitine from Design for Health which was recommended to me by my Naturopathic Doctor.I'm 44 and before seeing a Naturopathic Doctor, had a complete hysterectomy a few months ago resulting in memory issues. I found myself not able to remember how to operate my accounting software I have used daily for for 7 years. This has helped me to be able to perform my daily work tasks.I also appreciate that the bottles sold by DFH Select are labeled on the outside of the cellophane so as not to restrict the reading of the bottle.In following Amazon's rules, this is for sure the best way to do it!Thank you Designs for Health for a great product!

I’m on a keyogenic diet. If you’re metabolically challenged (insulin resistance), this helps. I was not doing well transitioning from glucose burning to fat burning for energy. Had severe keto flu. Since I started with the L-Carnitine, the flu-like symptoms dissipated. Thank God. It was awful. The L-Carnitine helps the transport of fatty acids into the cell’s mitochondria to utilize as energy when your body has used all the glucose stores and trying to use your fat for its energy. I have seen a big difference in my energy since starting these.

Product recommended by my integrative Medicine Doctor along with L-Glutamine, Probiotics and fish oil for my tummy troubles. I think it is working so far! Not sure exactly which one or all in combination.

I purchased the above product (Acetyl L-carnitine) on Sept 8th via Amazon. When it arrived, I found that the top of the bottle appeared to be tampered with (sticky residue on top of bottle.) Furthermore, the form of the pill is a big, brown tablet, not the capsule which I had purchased previously. Also, it is advertised on Amazon as a capsule. I must have either a capsule or powder. I cannot swallow big tablets, such as this one. I like the product and respectfully request that this one be replaced, untampered and in capsule form. Can you help me, please? Thank you very much.
