Surprisingly great!
This tiny little pottery wheel gives the impression that it won't be powerful enough to let you throw even small clay objects. However, it works really well, and it's really fun to work on creating tiny little forms on this wheel. You do have to be careful because it spins very fast when you turn the knob up, and if you're throwing with soft clay, it'll easily distort whatever you've made. However, we're really enjoying it, I just bought another one for our at home micro studio.

Too slow won’t stick
Product doesn’t center clay and it doesn’t have a strong spinning power everytime I try to stick to the clay to the plate it doesn’t sick even with smaller balls of clay upset….

It's decent
I would say if you want to play around with making tiny things, this is just fine. It's easy to assemble and pretty intuitive to use. However, if you try to use too much clay for something larger, the motor isn't able to handle it nearly as well. It's definitely on the weaker side, so I would say a full-sized cup is beyond what it can do, even if the base would fit on the wheel. Overall, I would consider it a fun little gadget, but not an actual tool to reliably make crafts.

multipurpose pottery wheel!
item is as described but I have used it mostly in two other functions,1- you can adhern sandpaper discs to top and it becomes a nice way to sharpen some wood carving tools.2- you can use it to display or take videos of a product you make or sell, speed adjusts to pretty slow so it works great for that purpose too!and I am sure it would work fine as mini pottery wheel to, I have the clay but have not tried yet.

Manage your expectations.
So I usually use a full size wheel but rent studio time so I thought it might be fun to use this at home in between visits and make tiny things and maybe teach my son a little.First problem. The tray to catch the slip and flying clay takes a million years to snap on. Once you do, when you turn on the wheel the tray spins with it. I had to just leave it off entirely. Tried several times nothing I did helped.Second problem. This might work for a pot as pig as your thumb but anything bigger the wheel can’t handle. Try to center it and it just stops spinning. Try to put any pressure at all on it it stops spinning.I didn’t try it with a smaller ball of clay. I started with the bigger disk and maybe a golf ball sized ball and was not able to make it work well because it just stops spinning. I only assume it may be slightly better with a tiny ball. Only slightly.Third thing. Even if the tray worked… this thing flings clay like nobodies business. It is going to have to be outdoors only use unless I maybe set up a box with three sides to work in and catch the massive amounts of spatter. I’m talking more than a full sized project on a full sized wheel and flying in every direction. It might be good for something who knows. Even something non pottery related. And I got it for a Black Friday deal at very little money so it’s ok but I definitely don’t recommend expecting this to be anything other than a toy for pottery unless you are making dollhouse pots.I suppose I could bring it camping and use it to make tiny pots out of the clay my son digs up from the river…. Basically don’t buy this expecting much and you will be ok.

Okay
This NantFun Mini Pottery Wheel Machine is decent for small projects. I personally just wanted to try using one. I have never taken a class but my husband has. It is not super powerful or big which I expected. I did feel like it needed more power to be of better use but I am a beginner. Was interesting to try but I can see why people pay for classes or bigger wheels. This is limited and it gets messy.

Small but mighty
Does the job. Should have read the details but it’s tiny. Definitely fun to use though and works well. Pretty cute to leave out as decor too!
