Fabulous flavour, luxurious texture.
Absolutely delicious, and as supplied, in large 400 or 500 g tins, relatively economical. Lemberg are a consistently reliable producer, but it is worth knowing that this variety of salmon roe (Keta) is appreciably richer in flavour, with a noticeably superior mouth feel to the individual eggs, compared to cheaper varieties, Gorbusha, for example. The price difference is actually very small, so it is definitely worth paying for this variety of Roe, IMHO.Worth saying that I have been buying this and other products from this particular seller for years now. The insulated packaging used is very sturdy and maintains optimum temperature very well, and the dispatch/receipt times are always reliably rapid. Excellent coms, too.Highly recommended then, both product and seller.

Only instead of salmon, there was chum salmon caviar inside.

Too salty and quite a fishy aftertaste
For the price it is a good bargain but definitely not the caviar of choice.Overall it is too salty and you can smell fish even when the can is popped open. The aftertaste is also too fishy when compared to the caviar made not in Germany.A good relatively cheap introduction to caviar, and since the can is quite big you can either make a ton of toasts to impress your guests or use it to make pancakes with caviar but I would explore other options if you want a clear taste.
