I purchased these glides to replace the feeble castors that came fitted to my suite.Fitting was a doddle, I was even able to fit the glides into the existing Tee Nuts that the old castors were removed from.Easier to move the chairs with these glides than the castors and better for my carpet too.Very pleased with them.

Easy and quick to fit. Strong and spread the weight of a very heavy divan bed which had broken the original castors. The bed now moves easily when we want it to. Very competitive price, quick delivery.

Bought these to replace castor wheels fitted to a bed, sofa and chair after we had laminate wood-effect flooring fitted. Had tried using various types and makes of castor-cups under the wheels but none had worked as each time we moved the item the wheels would come out.So bought these and replaced the wheels with them. For some furniture items the shaft of the wheels easily pulled out of the fitting and it was possible to just push the glide into the same fitting, in others I had to remove the wheel and the fitting from the wood. This was not difficult and as long as it was done carefully with a decent quality flat-bladed screwdriver the fitting popped out in one piece, then it was easy and quick to pop in the new guide and gently hammer into place to secure before inserting the glide.The reason I gave them four stars is that I found the black plastic is easily abraded by the textured surface of the laminate flooring we have fitted and this left black marks on the floor when we moved the furniture. To rectify this I bought some self-adhesive felt pads and stuck these to the bottom of each glide. This may not be a problem for those whose floor surface is smooth but on our floor it was annoying.

Bought these to replace some bed castors which came with the bed a few months ago but were very poor quality and had started to break. These not only spread the load much better minimising the carpet marks but look quite good. I hadn't seen many of these around however the price seems reasonable for the quantity purchased. Each glide came in the envelope individually wrapped so well protected.

My divan bead (the sort with two base sections clipped together with 4 wheels on each) was on small casters that dug into the carpet and I simply couldn't move the bed.These glides fitted into the holes that the casters sat in - so, just pull out the casters and replace with the glides, a bit of tugging and tapping in was required.The heavy bed now moves easily and the glides don't get stuck in the carpet. Excellent! No dust under the bed any more.

Not strong enough for our sofaThey are plastic the only metal bit is the stem.

These were not exactly what we thought they were; we thought they had threaded shafts with nut to secure. However they have done the job (after we 'threaded' the shafts and purchased nuts to secure) of raising an adjustable settee off the floor, which was necessary as the metal framework was leaving bad marks in our carpet and it needed two people to move it to enable cleaning to be done; now there are less marks, just the round ones from the glides, and sofa can be moved easily by one person.

This is the first time I've ever used a product like this,as a keen diy / amateur carpenter I've always used more traditional methods. This product was very easy to work with and fit to a large upholstered footstool. Very please .
