I absolutely love lock n lock containers. I have loads of them. They are sturdy, watertight and well made.I bought this container back in 2017. It still works as well now as it did back then. I have 2 of these boxes. One holds my gardening tools and the other one holds all my light bulbs, batteries and candles.

bought 16kg of doves gluten free plain flour, The flour in all fairness should of been ok in the paper sack that it was sold in, but to keep as fresh as is possible decided to buy some lock and lock to decant the whole bag into. Decanting into lock and lock meant could store in different places in case exceeded the shelf safe working weight capacity.We had 7 litres caddy's with wheels on back which have lasted years so much so they do not seem available any more have been happy with their performance specially after finding critters had been in the cupboard unable to eat anything.deciding on size was some penguin maths, in the end it was guessingif 7 litres holds 2 large bags of sugar, what does 12 litres hold? we had 3 x1kg bags in a box of so many litres and calculated needed 2 x 12 litres what ever was left would go into another container we already had.The lock and lock boxes were to be delivered July 24th Amazon delivered yesterday which was fantastic.-de stickered and dish washed then stickers added back on, the draining plastic thing was not put back in-Filling we used a UK baking 1 cup measure, adding 5 cups of flour to a jug filled it level to top, 5 cups weighed 1kg on the olde spring human weight scales which were zero'd with the empty 12 litre lock and lock on, lid removed8 jugs = 40 cups = 8kg of gluten free plain flour went into the 12 litre container with an Half inch to spare.2 x 12 litre containers held 16kg of doves plain gluten free flour. Even with the penguin math, until it all went into the 2 containers we were unsure whether it would all fit.The lid has a fold down handle, am not going to use it with 8kg inside fear it would break. I feel certain the flour will not spoil with changes in temperature and humidity now its in the lock and lock.hope above helps.The lid fit is secure with the seal. the box is large.Its idea for crafters to retreat with, batch bakers, using the lid as a base, if you buy bulk, anything you want to keep dry and fresh.

used to think lock & lock is a brand with very high quality. but two of the locks on the side are quite loose. don't know if it's an issue with the brand QC or it's just not an authentic one?

I bought one of these nearly two years ago.Specifically, for decanting those huge XXL (5KG) boxes of washing power into.Works perfectly, completely air-tight, so the power doesn't end up in one solid lump after a couple of weeks!I wish I had done this years ago, would have saved me no end of trouble.I no longer need to dig into the box with a large fork to break up the powder!Stays fresh and power-like in this air-tight container for months and months.

Does its job. Very big airtight container. We have a bread baking machine and 2 homemade breads (size M-XL) easily fit inside.

I bought this to store detergent powder in because it was getting damp and clumping once the cardboard box was opened. I couldn't be more pleased. The box is very sturdy and, once fastened, airtight. No more damp powder, no more clumps to get stuck in the detergent drawer in the washing machine.The clips are a little fiddly to engage (clipping the ones on the shorter sides first makes life easier) but I'm not going to dock any stars from my rating for such a trivial problem and I have no qualms whatsoever about recommending the product.

Delighted with this purchase. Took a long time looking for an airtight container for our dog food. Lovely quality, the handle is great and it is actually airtight. We keep the bulk of our dog food in the garage in a metal bin and fill this from there as garage not attached to the house. This hold ample to keep in the kitchen to save a daily trip out to the garage, hence why we are so pleased with the handle. Exactly what we required and good quality.

Lock & Lock are the best in the market and I wouldn't buy any other brand now. This 12 litre size is 31.5 x 23.1 x 23.1, cms which is easily big enough for a very large chicken or 2 loaves of bread. They are BPA-free, dishwasher (top shelf) safe, and microwave (re-heating only) safe. I have just bought four more of this 12 litre size to store precious cashmere knitwear in because I am sick of moths chewing their way through hundreds of pounds of cashmere and it's quick and easy to chuck a jumper or gloves and scarf into one of these.. The seal is so good on Lock & Lock that no moth, however determined, can get through.I also store my bread flour in one of these. It fits four of my 1.5 kilo bags. Keeps it really fresh and dry.Worth noting that you can buy this size for £15.30 at Mahahome website.I don't think any one would ever regret buying Lock & Lock. They last for decades.
